Disney Dining Plan...

As the trip approaches... I've realized that we have booked a restaurant for every evening meal. I've also booked breakfast for 3/5 mornings. It is looking like the DDP may be a better option for us. Two questions.

1. While we are there for 6 days, our last day we will be leaving the park early to catch our flight. I would not want to capitalize on the DDP for this day. Additionally, we have booked Hoop Dee Doo, and have already paid OOP for this. Is it possible to "use" this credit on our day of arrival instead? We will be coming in from a disney cruise, so will not need breakfast, and if we have an additional TS credit, I would like to utilize it here. In a nutshell... we are booked in a hotel for 5 nights, but I would only like to purchase 4 days.

2. We are currently booked in POP, but it is my understanding that the value resorts usually offer quick service as part of their "special". It looks like the difference is $200 for the 4 of us to upgrade to the table service option. Does this mean that I would just pay the $200 difference while keeping my resort the same?

The dining plan must be purchased for every guest on the reservation and for every night of the reservation. If your reservation is five nights, you would need to purchase the plan for five nights, not three (four days).

Do you already have the quick service plan? The QS is the one that is included if you have the free dining option but you can upgrade to the regular DDP.

You can use your credits on your arrival day You can use them as you please.

The special you are referring to is free dining, which if you don't already have it, you cannot get it as the time for booking that promotion has already ended. You can pay for dining up to 72 hrs before your arrival. After that, you cannot add the dining.

PP is correct. You will have 5 nights of the plan, but if you're doing HDDR, that is a 2 TS meal, and you said you also had some breakfasts planned. It sounds like you have more than 5 TS credits already spoken for, so you will still have to pay OOP for some meals.

You might want to think about the DXDP. If you pick up a couple more breakfast ADRs and one or 2 more 2TS meals the math might work out for you.
Right now you have 9 out of the 15 ts meals you would be entitled too on the DXDP.
