Disney Dining Plan Split Stay

We are doing a split stay with our first night at OKW and our last 3 nights at SSR. We won't arrive until very late on the first day and we are thinking about getting the DDP for just the SSR portion of our stay. We won't use any credits on the day we arrive at OKW because we won't get in until very late. We plan on going to the parks right away on our second day, having our bags transferred by Bell Services to SSR and checking in late that day. Would we be able to use our DDP credits on the day we would be checking into SSR before we actually checked in?

You should be able to use your dining credits once your SSR reservation officially starts. If for some reason it acts wonky and won't let you, charge it to your room and got to the front desk before you check out and they'll fix everything for you. That happened to me during my 2017 trip.
