Disney Dining Plan query

Hello all!

My boyfriend and I are trying the DDP for the first time this year. I read somewhere that any remaining credits are lost at midnight on the checkout day. We leave on a Friday so does this mean our credits are invalid from 12am Thursday night/Friday morning, or 12am Friday night/Saturday morning? I hope this makes sense! From what I've read, people often have snack credits left over, so we were planning on buying some treats to take home on the last day...

The latter- Friday midnight (turning into Saturday).

we are doing it for the first time as well this year and I have read that its check out day so we check out friday and will have the credits to use till midnight that day.

If you leave a credit card at reception you can also still charge to your room after you have checked out

I can confirm that it is midnight on the day you leave

We used our last 2 CS credits on the way to the airport at Earl of Sandwich and I also did some last minute DTD shopping and charged it to my room no problems even though I had had my bill that morning
