Disney Dining plan promotion question

We're toying with the idea of going to WDW during the free dining Promotion period in September. Here's the situation.

We'll stay at our DVC at SSR, and we still have 5 days left on our no expiration tickets.

My question is, are we still able to take advantage of the promotion since we already have our "prepaid" tickets, and room taken care of?

No Free dining is only available to those that stay on cash at rack rate at a disney hotel not DVC on points. It also requires the purchase of a 1 day 1 park ticket. Now you can upgrade the ticket as I have done a number of times.

As Mrs. Zurg says, DVC members staying on points are not entitled to the free dining.

But we can purchase the plan. We don't have to buy a ticket and we don't have to stay a minimum number of nights to purchase it. If we do buy it, we have to get it for every night of the stay for every person in the unit.

Thanks for the information. I guess i'll look more into going during the EPCOT food and wine festival.
