Disney Dining Plan and gift card

Good morning,
Does anyone know if you can pay for the Disney Dining Plan with Disney gift cards? I don't see an option when trying to add it through the DVC site, but I do when trying to purchase tickets (site transfers me to Disney World ticket purchasing site).

I think I read you have to call MS to pay that way.
