Disney Dining Plan 2007

Hi, I am thinking about booking for next year in September when the free DP is available. I am not sure about the dates - it is available for bookings up to 29 September 2007 - does this mean if my holiday starts by this date, I will get the Dp, or does my holiday have to be completed by 29 September 2007?

I don't know if they will offer it for sure next year or not. It seems like ther is susally an offer made in Nov. Just keep checking.

The offer is already available for residents of the UK and N.Ireland (where the OP resides). From what I have read, the offer is good for arrivals between the dates of August 12 and September 29, 2007. That should mean that if the OP were to check in on 9/29/07, stay at least 5 nights & purchase passes with at least 5 park days on them, then they would qualitfy for free dining.

A similar offer is not available to residents of other countries...yet. That could change anytime.

Can someone clarify on the DDP. I am not sure what it is.. I have heard of it...

The DDP (Disney Ding Plan) is a package addon that is offered at WDW. The cost for 2007 is $38.99/ per adult (ages 10+) and $10.99/night for children (ages 3-9). During August and September of 2005 and again in 2006, Disney offer it free as an incentive to get more people to book during what is traditionally a slow period.

The plan includes 1 tableservice meal (appetizer, entrée, dessert and non-alcoholic beverage), 1 counterservice (combo meal plus dessert and non-alcoholic beverage) and 1 snack (from a large number of available snacks) per person per night of your stay.

The DDP can only be obtain by booking a package unless you're a DVC member or the guest of a DVC member.

The DDP must be purchased for all members of your party and for all nights of your stay.

We just returned from a 4-night stay during the free dining promotion and I have to admit that we loved the plan. It was so nice not to have to worry about what the meal was going to cost us. You just hand over your room key and they deduct the appropriate number of credits! The tax and an 18% gratuity are already included in the plan. Even if they didn't offer the free dining for our next trip, I think that I would get it.
