Just got back Saturday after a week stay, no DDP because we had a room discount, so not forced to eat more than we wanted, but did eat TS nightly.

1st night : Whispering Canyons, best pot roast ever, not just the meat, but the mashed potatoes and root veggies were excellent.:cloud9:

2nd night: Narcoossees, one of DH's and my favorite spots. As usual had surf & turf, pricey but, outstanding lobster tail:cheer2:. Well worth the $$. Filet was good, but small and slightly overcooked for all. I had medium and was more like medium well.

3rd night: Hoop Dee Do, 1st time there. Show was cute (a little cheesy for DH, but DS & I enjoyed it.) Food was ok, but just average. Chicken was good, ribs were a bit tough and not fall off the bone, they needed more time in oven. Veggies, potatoes, even dessert were average, not bad, but not feeling like I need to go back.

4th night: Plaza Restaurant, sandwiches were good, fries were excellent and tomato soup was exceptional. DS had it and was licking the bowl (literally;)).

5th night: Fultons, good, but not enough food for the price. DH had Alaskan crab claws, I had a trio of wahoo (very nice), crab cake (a bit too much filler) and shrimp. DS's crab legs were overcooked, hard to get out of shell. A little disappointed:confused3, DH & I ate there a few years ago and had an exceptional meal. I don't think it was a DP restaurant at the time.

6th night: Chefs de France, my meal was superb:woohoo: !! mahi mahi, scallops and shrimp in a lobster broth w/ gnocchi and plum tomatoes. I wished for 2 things, more than 2 scallops & shrimp and a spoon for the broth.
DH had short ribs, and while they were fine ( a bit bland & only served with noodles) he says mine are better:hug: !! (but not my pot roast :sad2:)

Most breakfasts we ate quick at Roaring forks, again, if you don't expect much, you wouldn't be disappointed. Sorta like a cafeteria where food is prepped and sits, unless you are lucky and get there as they bring out fresh. I did have a very good bagel, just plain, but a little butter and jelly and it was perfect.

this was our second time at starring rolls for lunch, did not disappoint again. :thumbsup2 Sandwiches are huge, we shared and desserts are great, shared, but didn't want too :rotfl2:.

I have noticed that the overall food quality at Disney in general has diminished over the last few years, but with the economy, increased demand, and the explosion of the ddp it was inevitable. I do hope in the next 2 years, as DS says we need a Disney break, it is revamped for the better without breaking the bank. I will admit portions were way too big before, and without a way for many to take "home" a doggie bag, much was wasted. Now, some meals were proportioned nicely, and some bordered on being too small, especially for men.

I will keep a positive frame of mind next visit and hope for the best, and settle for average if necessary.

Thanks for your reviews..we ate at Fultons last month and we were very disappointed, having eaten there 7 times in the last 2 years it was always a must do for us but we cancelled our Oct ressie for something else...not worth paying big bucks for a lousy meal

Whispering Canyon Cafe never disappoints! It is my fav. Disney restaurant and we always make a point to eat there on every trip!
