We have questions about the DDE. If we purchase APs in advance can we get the DDE with the vouchers? I understand that the DDE is not not available at WDW, it must be done by phone. Is that correct? Also is it good for one year from date of purchase or activation when on vacation? What counter service restaurants participate? Thanks for any help!

But yes you can get it with your voucher (we did the fax version with no problem).

It starts from the date of purchase if after the 5th ( I think) it will be the end of the next month ( if you call they will tell you when it will expire).

CS is not really many Values as they really have no TS but it's mostly TS places but Deb has a good list on the above sight.

This is just what I was looking for. Ordered AP vouchers yesterday, and plan on ordering DDE in early November for our December trip.

Although I did get a DDE newsletter e-mail this summer that stated that an activated AP was required to order the DDE, I am hoping that was a misprint.

I was able to order over the phone with the voucher, and then pick it up the temporary card at Epcot Guest Relations. I wanted as late an expiration as possible so I waited until about 10 days before our trip to order the card.

It seems that the only counter service places that take it are those in locations without table service restaurants. The value resorts and Animal Kingdom come to mind. We used it at Flame Tree.
