Hi!!!

For our November trip we will be dining at CRT (for Thanksgiving lunch-5 of us), Artist Point (just me and DH), Chef Mickey's for dinner (5 again), and Whispering Canyon for breakfast and dinner. We will also eat lunch at Tusker House or Pizzafari. All of these restaurants are on the updated (May 2003) list of restaurants for DDE. I figured out (by lookinng at the menus) that we can save about $60 on this first trip. The cost of DDE is $70- $75.

We are planning on buying AP's- will we get the $70 passholder rate or do you already have to be a passholder before your trip to get this? Of course, we will have the voucher, but won't be able to activate it until we get to the parks.

When does it expire? Is it "activated" when you first use it?

from wdwig.com- "2-3 weeks to arrive at your home and is good for one year from when it is issued." I'm confused!

We are planning on 4 additional trips with our AP's (totaling 16 nights for the year). We think it will be well worth it... We are planning on staying at the AS a few times and the food courts there are included. We always try to do at least one character meal and another sit-down meal per trip.

hi,

go for the card! my husband and i have one and it has saved us a bundle. anyway, i am pretty sure the card is valid on the day that it is issued to you over the phone. yep, i just looked at mine and there is a date on it. the date i called them.

it is good at a ton of restaurants and you can use it for up to six people. and like you said it is good for the food courts at the value resorts (believe me that also saves money). you also get invited to really cool lunches and dinners. there was one for a baseball game and another for the 4th of july buffet up at the california grill. any other questions, let me know.

:D

Okay, then you really don't get it for a year. I guess that doesn't make a difference. We will still save on three trips. I guess I should order it several weeks before I go. Does this sound right?

does anyoe know if I get the passholder rate??

susy, actually our card came in the mail in about a week. try to order it as close to your first vacation as possible. make sure you tell them that you are planning on getting annual passes they will probably give you the ap price.:D
