We have an AP's and we are considering getting this? Has anyone used this before? Is it worth the cost? Is it only good at sit down restaurants?

We just signed up. It's only worth it if you spend $250 or more on food and eat at those participating restaurants. We live closeby and go to eat at WDW at least once a week, so we know we will get our money's worth! It's good at over 70 restaurants. Most are sit down. The counter service restaurants are the ones at Animal kingdom, the food courts at POR, POFQ, the All Stars, and Pop.

I'm not sure if the DDE is worth the money but I am sure that I LOVE PATS_MOM99! She's the best wife anyone could have. I know 'cause I'm Pats Dad!

Luv ya Maur!

we go to wdw about 2-3 year and are AP holders. i have ordered one for our trips this year. the type of restaurants you usually eat at should dicate as to whether this is a good deal for you. it is just my husband and i and we dine at the higher end sitdowns. this is worth the cost to us. happy eating! :earboy2:

We got the DDE card in January. We spent 7 days at Disney, Feb 12-18. It is myself, DH, DD2, and my parents joined us for the trip half way through. We had 2 character meals-Ohana and CRT, Fantasmic pkg at H&V, Boma, CMC plus we stay at ASMo and got the discount at the food court. We definitely saved enough to pay for the card itself and then some. We are seasonal pass holders and are planning to make at least 2-3 more trips before our passes expire. If you are planning at least 1 sit down meal a day I would definitely consider it.

Awwwwww, how sweet!

We were there for four nights a few weeks ago and we have already saved the cost to purchase it. If nothing else it easily covers your tip in savings. We ate at Cape may for dinner twice , Nine Dragons for dinner, Sci Fi for lunch San Angel for lunch Le Cellier for dnner and we are a family of four (kids are 7 &9). Dinner averaged $70 before discount, lunch ~$50, so I figured we saved about $80 on this trip alone and are going back in < 5 weeks for 4 more days. HTH!

Do you think if we bought a card the end of Dec. it would be good through Jan. 07? That would make it good for both our trips on our new ap's.

As with all WDW special offers and programs, they are subject to change. If they are still offering the DDE card at that time, I would imagine it would be good a year out.

You can always wait till right before you go on your first trip, order then and ask them to fax the letter to your resort or to you or have them email it to you. The last letter that Rosa emailed me for our upcoming April trip says that mine is good through 3/31/06 and I ordered the card the last part of January.
