Disney Dining & Disney Gift Cards

Can I pay for my Disney Dining Plan with Disney Gift Cards? I am wondering if I buy the Gift Cards at the store little by little & then use them to pay for the dining plan.
Does anyone know if this is possible? Thanks!

I buy the Disney gift cards through a scrip program and use them to make payments towards my package. Although I have never done I don't think you will have a problem using them to pay for the dining plan since you are DVC member and have to pay at check-in. I am pretty sure I have read in the past that other members have done it.

Bumping this - anyone else actually done this? Just want to see if it is feasible - I am asking since we have scrip also & I would love for our school to benefit from me buying Disney GC but only if I can actually use them!
