Our third day in WDW allowed us to take a mid day break for lunch at one of our family's true hidden gems, Restaurant Marrakesh. This was our 3rd trip there, and we had no wait for our 12:30 PS. Mohammed was our server, and he was prompt and efficient. (We were on the Silver Plan).
The family cast as follows: (Me - Trip planner. NO CHEESE PLEASE)
DW - Easy going and also easy to please.
DS (19) - Will try anything; prefers seafood. Won't gain an ounce.
DD's (13) - A - Family soup expert. Will take a try at anything. Her twin sister T is our resident carnivore. Meat, heat & eat. PICKY
We began with a great round of appetizers, including seafood and chicken bastilla, beef brewat rolls, Jasmina's salad and the Harira soup for DD(A). She proclaimed the soup her fave so far as she savored the tomato, lentil and lamb mix, using her bread to sop up every drop. Entrees included 2 shish kabob, 2 chicken kabob and a Sultan's sampler for DS. The food was cooked just right, and the portion size was perfect for lunch. I really enjoyed the grilled veggies from the chicken kabob, they blended so well with the sauce. The hot mint tea was also excellent.
Desserts included apple crepes and ice cream with an espresso for me. Bill came to $161.78 for the 5 of us, but we were on the Silver Plan. We were able to be present for the entertainment and it was enjoyable. Marrakesh will always be on our must do list for lunch.
