is it worth the $8? I reall wanna score a Ohana dinner ressie on October 5 for 8 and I've had zero luck.

Just signed up for scout and tried for the ressie I need. Hopefully it works out. It's for a month from now so even though I still have time I'm losing most hope.

I find that if I check at night at 12am or early morning like 6-7am - I find what I need lmao

I've not used it but I've read of others who really think it's worth it. I would think if you don't have the time to watch for a reservation yourself it would be worth it.

I'm sure Ohana will be impossible to find a month out for a table of 8 but I gave scout a try instead. First 2 are free. Now let's see if it works

Yes, it's worth it. I've had great success with Disney Dining Buddy including BOG dinner and all of the Star Wars weekend meals - breakfast with Vadar, Jedi Mickey dinner and Rebel Hangar.

I used Buddy for a BOG and got it within 24 hours.

I tried Scout for free and they sent me an email that said- your ADR was available 12 hours ago- if you paid us, then you would have received notification right away!

So I paid Buddy, not Scout and for $8 it was worth it to me.

Always been able to find what I wanted; I get online at 2 am, book around 60 days, 45 days, week before, day before ..... but this time in 2 months of hunting could not get BOG dinner, for my DS. I got tired of looking and with it being during Free Dining and I was a month out I needed help. - why not see how this worked out.

I used ************** and had success in just a couple days for a BOG dinner on the night I wanted. Best money I ever spent. Made it so easy, I got an email and text at the same time with a link direct to the reservation. In less than a minute I was booked.

I received two alerts from DDB yesterday for BOG. I logged on immediately and they were already gone. So far, I am not impressed.

I've used buddy with success (BOG Dinner which btw, never again food was nasty and I felt like I was eating in a wonderfully themed cafeteria). When I need to get a hard ADR and I am past my 180+10 window I just give them the 8 bucks and call it a day. My only wish is I could pay more and have them book it for me. Often down in the OR my phone is spotty at best or I can't be checking it often.

Time is definitely money and I don't have the time that some people have to be obsessing on MDE so I pay someone that does. Again I just wish I could pay them to book it too as it's easy to miss unless your right by your phone.

From what I have heard there are those that you can buy the actual reservations from.

I've always been able to get exactly what we were looking for without paying anyone for it. I don't mind checking here and there either. It's part of the planning fun.

Question? Are these scalper sites or just folks who monitor the WDW dining reservation site 24/7? I'm uncomfortable with the thought of people paying to get ADR's..........isn't that kinda wrong and/or unfair?

I've been using both buddy and scout for a while now and have received tons of alerts from both. I say go with Scout since its only $4 for 6 months with up to 4 searches at a time.

Both are just sites that look at availability and then send you a text or email when its available.

Go to Disney Dining scout first few requests are free works just like dining buddy... I used it a few times worked great everytime

I used Scout and I loved it. Took until about a week until my vacation, but finally got the ADR I wanted. If you're going in October, my best advice is just to be patient. More will open up the closer you get.
