CRT: Cinderella's Royal Table, Dinner - only if you want to. Great experience, but do only once in your life time.

Sci Fi Lunch - ala cart menu, do OOP

Mama Melrose Fantasmic Dining Package - a good price either way

Teppan Edo - ala cart menu, do OOP

Le Cellier Dinner - ala cart menu, do OOP
(Can switch Le Cellier to lunch and do Teppan Edo for Dinner)???
LeCellier is less expensive for lunch

Hollywood Brown Derby Imagineer's Lunch - nice to do, pay OOP

Yak & Yeti Lunch - ala cart menu, do OOP

Hoop De Doo Music Revue Dinner - fun place to see a show and eat bar-b-q

Thank you all again for your replies... I've read each and every one of them...

Some of the "Must Have" ressies are due to Family traditions... (CRT, Teppen Edo and the F! dining although I've not done MM with F! dining yet) We do CRT and Teppan Edo every trip...and I HAVE To do CRT with my DS GF because this will be her FIRST Disney experience ! LOL:thumbsup2

It's been difficult to get the FAMILY to let me plan a trip to WDW Because "some" non magical family members think they have explored all of Disney already...:rotfl::confused:

Hence the "Special" dining that they have no clue exists : Imagineer lunch, Hoop De Doo... even Sci Fi because we've never done that. (I also have ressies for Epcot Segway tour and Ft Wilderness Horseback riding!):cool1:

I'm worried about doing the regular dining plan because I don't see us having Six CS Meals during the trip....

As with PP... I too would love to hear more explained about TIW/AP idea...

OH GUESS WHAT ! Ya'll had me double check my numbers.... They "told" me Two thousand .... nine...eighty eight.... my NOTES are wrong !

It's $2988.00 not $2009.88 LOL.... more numbers to crunch !

If I choose the Regular Dining Plan...

Do I choose OOP For MOST EXPENSIVE MEALS ? (Like CRT / Hoop Dee Doo)????

Not necessarily. Some of your 1TS could be much cheaper. The way I would figure it is this:

Take the cost of CRT or HDDR...can I eat at 2 other TS places for less or more than this would cost? I wouldn't always figure in all the entitlements, but only what I want to eat at the other 2 TS.

For HDDR, remember you can only do Cat 2 or Cat 3 seating on the DDP.

If you did DP, you could plan for some of the nicer counter service meals. Wolfgang puck express at downtown disney was like a table service meal. Sunshine seasons in Epcot has a great selection. Eating around the world in Epcot with credits could be fun. Nachos in Mexico, the big hummus/lamb platter in morocco, fried fish in england....

TinkerbellinLouisianna:

I decided to become you for just a moment and try to figure out what I would eat.

One of the problems I see you having is one you mentioned early on....when and where are you going to use your QS meals if you to DDP?

I assume one of your 2TS dinners in on your arrival night, so then let's say you do this:

28th HS Day is Sci Fi lunch and MM F! dinner (no need for a QS unless you do breakfast which is a loser value wise on the plan)

29th Epcot Day is Le Cellier lunch and Teppan Edo dinner (again no QS unless you decide to skip Le Cellier)

30th MK Day is CRT or HDDR for dinner, so you do need 1 QS here

31st AK Day is Y&Y lunch, so you need 1 QS here

1st Imagineering Lunch day (depending on your departure, you may need 1 QS here)

Also, when looking at the menus and figuring in what was included with your set meals, I found myself not wanting to order as much at the other TS for the day. For example, on HS day and the F! pkg which includes app, entree, dessert, and drink...I can see only having a sandwich with soup or a drink at Sci-Fi because I don't want to be too full to not enjoy the MM dinner. Another difficulty for me is Teppan Edo....none of the desserts appeal to me, so I'd probably skip them and since I know I'm having steak here, I had a harder time deciding what to eat at Le Cellier because I don't really want steak twice in one day.

When I calculated what I would probably order for your 9 TS credit meals (excluding Imagineer's since it is OOP either way), my total for just me was $266.84 which is only $9 more than the DDP would cost me for 5 nights...but that's ALL those meals. If you do the DDP you have that $257.50 for DDP PLUS OOP for 4 TS credits somewhere.

Just a few more things to consider when deciding on how you want to "pay" for your meals.

Hello All !

Sharon - it is AMAZING to me how close you are to my actual plan !:goodvibes

I mean you are reading my mind !

Thanks to everyone's advice I'm leaning towards regular dining against deluxe dining...:cool1:

See how close you are Sharon?.....
5/27: Arrive and head to MK. 7p CRT (PM EMH's)
5/28: DHS DAY: 12:10 Sci Fi 5:05p MM F! Dining Package
5/29: EPCOT DAY: 12:10p Le Cellier 5:30p Teppan Edo
5/30: DAY OFF! Hopefully Imagineer Lunch
5/31: AK Day 1p Y&Y 7:15p HDDR Tier II
6/1 NO ADR's

so perhaps we could use our QS / CS for breakfasts and the last 2 days... I could always cancel Yak & Yeti and we could eat at the CS there....

Thanks again ya'll ! TGIF! Had a tough week at work so I have not had a chance to work on this... but I really plan to take the weekend and make some decisions....:lovestruc

It should be $51.54, but if you call Disney, they will quote you something different, if they quote you anything at all.

If you go online and price out your room/ticket/dining compared to just room/ticket (with all variables the same), it will come out to the $51.54.

The DDP just was not a fit for us for several reasons.
We are not huge eaters. We like food as much as the next person and actually end up eating one CS and one sit down.
The difference was, I like my food spread out. The dessert on every meal was usually a waste. If I could have traded the dessert for a snack credit, I would do it.
I also spent way too much time "getting my money's worth". I was determined to make it worth it and did not relax and just order whatever I wanted. That logic is backwards to most people who like that they can order the most expensive thing. I must have cheap tastes. Lol!
Another thing is we had a very last minute plane change and had to end up cutting our last day very short and there was no time to use the credits for that day or the snack credits we had been saving for splurging.
Also, I don't care about pre-paying and we really don't go with a specific budget. We just kinda "know" how much we are going to end up saving.
I forgot about TIW- I might check that out though. We have not used that since it was called whatever it used to be called. Lol!

Reading everyone's comments... really putting it into perspective for me...

I am crunching some numbers today... here is what I came up with...

Sharon - you were right on the rate... just got off the phone with Disney Dining. Also - a bit upset because today I've learned the reason I couldn't book Imagineer's lunch last week was NOT because they weren't booking those yet as CM said...but because my date was booked. So I opted for another date... just a little frustrating because now we will have to add Park Hoppers unless they add....and I can get ... Flying Fish Imagineers...
