Anyone have any experiences for the Disney Mix stick? I bought one for DD10 and read some reviews...but it doesn't seem to be that great :confused3 TIA

I bought it for my dd for Christmas. I did open it up, charged it, and pre-loaded it with songs for her. Its not fancy at all. There is no screen to let you know what song is playing, but I found the lack of bells and whistles to be perfect for my dd who is 8. The functions are easy to use - (play, pause, volume etc)

I do not like the earbuds and have bought new headphones. I thought it sounded fine and I was able to put 31 songs on it.

Auggietina,
did you download the songs to it from music service?, if so, may I ask which one you prefer. I bought a mix stick for dd9 and was considering doing the same thing for her, but I am a newbie when it comes to the mp3's

Thanks
Laura

I bought both downloads from Wal-Mart and Napster . Wal-Mart only offers the radio clean versions of songs, and I liked that. Wal-Mart was cheaper at .88 per song, but Napster (.99 per song) was easier to use, IMO. I had a lot of trouble getting my songs to download to my computer with Wal-Mart. I still have one song at Wal-Mart that I bought that refuses to download to my computer.
Once I had the songs in my library, it was easy to sync them to the MP3 player.

We originally purchased a Tink mix stick for our DD13, but ended up buying her an ipod nano and gave the mix stick to our DD5. She loves it.
My husband and I bought a 1GB SD card at Best Buy after Thanksgiving for $39.99. My husband loaded up the player with about 100 different Disney songs from our various CDs at home. We still have plenty of room for more songs. My husband said that the mix stick was very easy to use. If we ever do fill up the 1GB SD card, we can always buy another one and just have her switch out what card she wants to use (just like the mix clips.) :flower:

My sister got my niece (10 yrs old) a Mix stick...we pre-loaded some songs, it was pretty easy and I think good for a ten year old. I'd hate to spend more on an MP3 until she is a little older.

In fact, I really want a Mix Stick myself, I don't need anything fancy and I really like the silver Mickey one, but I can't find it anywhere! I've checked every Target multiple times, but they are sold out.

Anyone know why Target is the only store to carry these?

I bought the Mix stick from disneyshopping but it is back ordered and they just now informed me it won't come til Jan.

You can also get the Mix Stick from Limited Too. We cancelled our order from disneyshopping in mid Nov. as the backorder date kept moving back...we were able to buy Princess & Tink ones online through Walmart.com. I don't know if they're still available or not.

I'm psyched that we can buy the 1 GB SD cards to add to the girls' Mix Sticks! :cool1: I may go buy one...

Did anyone buy any of the accessories-the hard case and/or the stand they can put it in to play in their room?

I bought the silver one from walmart.com.... they dont have them in the stores, but only online. They had been out of stock for some time and I just happen to check one night and they were available, before I could place the order they said they were out of stock. Just on a whim I checked back an hour later and they were in, I moved faster this time and got one. So in other words check often... you just might get one!
