I
might know the answer as to why many of us are unable to get the Disney Destinations newsletter.
I was also very interested in being able to get this regular e-mail, so I called Disney today and asked about how I might be able to receive the e-mail. I told them that I have received e-mails from Disney Destinations before, but only when getting a personal PIN Code (I didn't get the 40%, but got a 20% after ordering the DVD). That e-mail comes from
disney@email.visit.disneyparks.com - the other came to confirm a room only ressie, and was disney@vacation.disneyworld.com, but that was from "Disney Destinations, LLC"
The CM put me on hold to ask about getting the newsletter, and when she came back on the phone she asked if I was an AP holder - and I am not. She then informed me that the Disney Destinations newsletter is for AP holders only.
So, this is likely the reason UNLESS someone out there who isn't (or, perhaps more importantly, has never been) an AP holder is getting the newsletter. If that is the case, please let us know, and perhaps let us know how you signed up for the Disney Destinations newsletter without being an AP holder.
BTW, she didn't mention anything about DVC members getting the newsletter, so I don't know if that might be another way to be eligible for the mailing.
Hope this helps!
