Disney Destination Email

Today I rec'd an email from Disney Destinations with a special package code. It did thank me in the email for creating a new Disney Vacation itinerary. The offer is for 12/1-12/22. The rates are $95 for a value, $164 for a mod, and $280 for a standard room at AKL. The rates are for Sun thru Thursday. Correct me if I am wrong, but aren't these the "normal" rates for that time of the year? Why are they trying to pass this off as a special package? Am I missing something?

Yep, those are the normal rack rates with no discount....

It's so funny you said this. I've gotten a couple pins over the last couple months and each one I got wasn't "special". I thought maybe it was just me and I was doing something wrong. The "special" didn't coincide with the dates we were able to go anyway so I wasn't too worried about it, but I'm glad to know now that it wasn't just me being blonde lol.
