So, is just safest to print these designs on white shirts to avoid color problems? I'd love to print some on blue, orange, pink, but I all the designs have white in them. So, am I better off just going with plain white? Any suggestions?

I like to use colored shirts, too! Here are a few possibilites you might use for printing on non-white shirts --

1. You can trim around the design to eliminate all/most of the extra white that would print off. It would depend on your design as to how this would turn out.

2. You can add the shirt color (as closely as possible) into what would be the outside white area. I have done that with the Paint program since it has a custom color option. I bought PhotoImpact altho' I haven't had a chance to try it yet but I'm guessing it has that option, also.

3. Add a "frame" around the design in a pretty contrasting color to the shirt color (this would break up the visual of a white block around the design) or make the "frame" as close to the shirt color as possible.

Maybe some of these ideas will help you. White is fine for shirts but I'm like you, I want to do some colored ones, too. :flower:

Oh my goodness, I am so confused. I am 30 yrs old and this will be my first trip to Disney with DH and DS age 5. All of the decisions that need to be made, just when I think I have it, I look on the Disboards and see something else.

I have a question about the designs I am seeing. I love some of the designs, but how do you download them and get a good quality photo? When I print them out, the image is very grainy and fuzzy.

Thanks for the help!

When I bought my transfer paper I could buy paper for white shirts or for coloured shirts. I didn't look at the one for coloured shirts as I wanted white but perhaps that is a possibility.

Looks great, Slenderella!! :flower:

Okay..this is the one I think we'll go with for Christmas. The larger image will go on back and the smaller "labels" will go where a pocket normally would (right front?). I'm not sure if I like that the labels all say 2005...wondering if anyone has ideas for funny sayings to go under each saying...like "theme park commando" would be pretty good under mine. I'm also thinking I'd like to squeeze MVMCP (first also) onto the back design but not sure where it would look good or how to word it if anyone has suggestions.

Thanks for these hints......for the shirts that will not be done on white, I am going to try the "framing" idea.......heck, it might even look better

I got my paper from WHS Smiths, it was a fairly large branch of it though. I looked in my smaller local branch but they didn't have any. They sold it in packs of 5. There are so many great designs on here though I think I will have to go back and get another pack!

WalMart had both white/light (6/$7 or 12/$13) and dark (6/$9)....in my area. It was Avery brand. I understand Office Depot and Office Max also have it.

If you are going to be doing quite a few T-Shirts I got my transfer paper on Ebay....with Insurance it cost me about $15.00 for 30 sheets. So it ended up being about $0.50 / sheet.

Okay, I've just been in envy and awe over these designs and I do plan to "borrow" a couple for our October trip from Midnite and J&N's websites (THANK YOU!), but I do have a request, if anyone (Midnite ? ;) ) has the time. Could you do one of the 3D Mickey's with POR? I LOVE the resort ones and I'm totally jealous! I wish I were staying at the GF or Poly just to wear one of those designs! Many thanks for all of the wonderful designs - I just enjoy seeing all the creativeness on this board. :flower:

How's this for ambition (insanity??). I'm going to try and do one for every resort....

I love this! I was thinking about doing something similar for our trip next March since the whole family is coming (at least mine, my sister's, and my parents). You've just motivated me even more to get working on it!

Oh my gosh! I'm so excited! You used the picture I sent! I'm part of a Midnite design! Ok, well, my hubby took the picture so I guess he's a part of a Midnite design. A little part..... a really little part.... But still..... I'll definitely be making this one.

I wanted to see what Tracy was trying to post. Here it is:

That's pretty neat. Good job.
