And AMY, I think it was, love your MGM Studios one with the brick background!

I wish I could take the credit, but that was my DH's (Kevin's) design. This is, by far, his favorite thread on the Dis! All he talks about is t-shirt designs! :teeth:

I'll remind him to sign his posts so he can get proper credit from now on.

Amy :)

This is addicting.

It depends Jen. Cotton would be the best. If you use something else be careful of the heat setting. Usually the package your transfer paper comes in will give specific details as to material and surface to transfer onto. :earsboy:

thanks gary--was trying to decide what to get!

It's not just you. This photo must have a bad link.

Any tips on how to actually do the iron on? The ones I did look good but they appear to be "cracked" somewhat similar to an old oil painting. I don't know how long they will last. I used Avery sheets and found the directions a bit confusing. Step 1-printing (easy...). Step 2 total ironing time depending on the size of the transfer and tell you to iron in a circular motion. Step 3 Ironing but they tell you to iron back and forth not circular. The paper was easy to remove so I'm thinking I did it long enough. I use the highest heat setting on my iron and used a butcher block counter top with a pillow case.

Any more hints?

Love all the designs.

thelionqueen-love your tie dyes but can't decide which I like better. I do like that the black Mickeys are more defined but I like the colorful Mickeys too. Great job! I'm not really up for that mess with my 3 little ones running around. I had thought about stamping some Mickey heads on a T with fabric paint but I think I'll stick to nice clean iron ons. :teeth:

Welcome to the Dis!!
You'll find more planning advice here than you ever knew you needed, lol, so make sure you check out some of the other boards.
You're right, the people here are friendly and helpful. Good luck planning your trip and your shirt.

Thank you for the welcome! You are right about the amount of the information on the Dis. . .I'll need a vacation just from the planning phase! :crazy2: T-shirt is another story due to the learning curve. For that I will need resuscitation! :faint:

Here is my latest...feedback?

This will be worn the day we go to the Hershey Spa...

The overwhelming favorite is batch #2 (that was my favorite too). I am happy with the results, and wish all you other potential tie dyer's lots of fun! Thanks for the posts!! :earsgirl:

Here's one I just finished for our boys to wear for the Pirate Cruise.

I just noticed - I don't think there should be comma between "yo" and "ho" so I'll have to take those out :rolleyes1

Does everyone see the "hidden mickey" on the map?

thelionqueen: I like the shirts with the black mickey head and yellow outline, however, living close to Pittsburgh, PA will make anyone LOVE BLACK AND GOLD :rotfl2:

Nikkibell - really like that Hershey shirt. Great saying on it!!

I'm beginning to agree with everyone else - this t-shirt design thing is addictive. Now, all I have to figure out is how to get Photoshop at a good price!!!!!!

That...is...too...cute!!!!!!!!

My DS is doing the Pirate Cruise in September and I didn't think about doing a shirt for that. I love yours!

I have looked through this thread a lot but have not done much reading, so sorry if these questions have been asked before.
What are the best brand or kind of Iron on transfers to use, I used some once and was not happy with the results?
Where do you all get that great disney animation. I have found some clip art but when I try to enlarge it it gets all fuzzy?
Thanks.
