How about we make a tradition of putting a "lime green Mickey' on the sleeve of the shirts that are made here on the Dis.. Like the one in Mrs Squirrels Signature..."someone" with talent(read: NOT ME! ;) could make it...

Just a thought.....

wow...lol..I havent been able to get to a pc since sunday ad i had over 20 pages to catch up on!!! Some beautiful designs were thought up while I was gone !! Congrats to every1 !!

Well Im finally getting ready to do my transfers (am washing the shirts b4 i start doing transfers) and I must say..when I went out to buy my transfer sheets I realised something....I needed the 4X6 size one for my neice seing as a letter sized sheet is bigger than her chest.....did anyone else have this problem ?
You can always print it on the 8 1/2 x 11 then cut it down. I just used scissors and it worked fine for me but someone else reported good luck with an exacto knife.

We already have it - I think Mrs. Squirrels is one of the ones created -

Beiji has done a ton of them - if you want a custom one - you could send it to her -

I have a generic one on my website

Your colors look so vibrant. Did you use transfer for "dark" shirts to get that? Love the Pixie dust!

For those of you that have made your shirts already......Is white the only color of fabric that shows the transfer paper? If I use light gray or pink tshirts, will the fabric paper still be seen?

I am wearing one right now that I did on a yellow top as a test and it turned out well. The only problem is that the design has started to crack a bit as the t-shirt stretched.

this is one i made for my mom its her favorite ride

The transfer paper for "white and light" shirts shows a little on all colors. It is mostly transparent, but you can still see it if you look. The transfer paper for "dark or bright" colors is white, so you'll see white if you don't trim it down to the design.

As I'm working on putting my shirts together I have discovered a few things. I did notice that my Local BJ's had light or White T-shirt Transfer paper for $11.99 for a pack of 30. I don't remember the brand as I had already bought some at Joanne's. The Gartner Studios 10 pack of light transfer paper from Joanne's seems to iron on well, but leaves a yellowish (antiquish) look where ever the white should show through. I have used the other brand from Joanne's and it was much whiter on a white shirt. I used the Avery brand dark shirt Transfer sheets on all my dark shirts. They seem to work well, but if you are doing a design with pointed edges make sure you spend extra ironing time on each point. I did the October Surprise Dis design that OKWOODSMITH did for all of us going in October. It looks awesome on a lime green shirt, but I did have to reiron most of the points as they were starting to peel with the paper. We also could not find lime green sleeveless tops (muscle shirts) for my boys so we bought white ones at JcPenny and did a green tye dye on them. They also came out great and look awesome with the DIS design on them. I will post pictures later as we are heading for the pool. It's 95 degrees here.

DH made this for DS10. I made one for DS5 that didn't turn out so good - Mickey looks more like a heart than his head. DH is in charge of tye-dyeing shirts from now on!

And thanks to everyone for the great T-shirt designs! My list of ones to make keeps growing, I need to narrow it down but they are all so nice that it's hard to choose!

We are celebrating our Mother's 60th Birthday in Disney World. It is her Dream for all of us to go to Disney together. So we all got together and are making her wish come true. Some us it will be thier first time WDW, but for me it will be my 15 including the 3 times I have been this year. :earsgirl:
My sister in law who is attending the fun in Disney is the true artist in the family. She posts on this site somewhere...We are trying to come up with ideas for a shirt for all of us to where so we can get a picture done.... :confused3 We need the help...!! The time is running out :hourglass
So any ideas...We are trying to come up with a slogan for the back of our shirts too with our favorite characters from Disney...
Your ideas would be great and I am searching this thread too for ideas.
Some of the shirts are awesome!!

Sounds like a really great trip! I don't have any ideas on T's but did you notice someone posted photos of their family wearing shirts (back in the 1st few pages...) and they had the foresight to wear matching shorts (ie all denim or all kahki...) and it really made the look complete. I'm sure the creative folks will have some ideas for you.

It is better to use transfer paper for "dark" shirts on grey t-shirts. I pretty much use the transfer paper for dark shirts for most everything except white shirts. The colors come out much brighter.

So if you use the dark transfer paper--do you cut out around the design then before you iron it on so that you don't then have all that white showing around the design so that it looks like a white piece of paper with a design on it stuck to a t-shirt???? Maybe I'm stupid but with the ones I got that seems like what I will have to do. :confused3

I haven't used mine yet but....if the colors are brighter on the 'dark' transfer paper, why not use them on the white shirts also?
