Dawn, you're not a slacker. My mother is very obsessive-compulsive (not that that's a bad thing ), so I've been writing thank you notes for Christmas and birthdays (and our wedding and all those showers) since I can remember. And look, I'm already talking about Alyssa helping, so she's doomed too.

Yeah. The way our trip is working out this time, we'll actually be in Baltimore for several days. We get in on Friday night (from the other cities) and his interview isn't until Tuesday! I've been online today looking for stuff to do. Any suggestions? It really seems like there are a lot of areas to just go and walk around. I don't think we'll do any tours, etc (ie historical tours). We really want to get a feel for living there more than touring there.

Which hospital in Baltimore? I worked there for a while.

He's interviewing with the University of Maryland. It's the UM Medical Center, VA Medical Center, Baltimore Mercy.... and is there a free-standing Children's hospital? I don't remember. I hope so, or we're wasting our time



And Denise, really. By the time you read this, I hope you realize you got another milestone But I, for one, do appreciate you thoroughly reading when you catch up

I'm around every now and again- mostly reading and trying to get through the dark depressing days in Portland Oregon. I hate rain and gray! Snow is so much better. At least after the snow is done, the sun comes out and it makes everything brighter. Thansk for thinking about me- maybe I'll come and gather some sunshine from my old friends!

Yes! I volunteered to coordinate that. If you all let me know if you are planning to attend, I can figure out how many rooms we need and get some reserved. Hopefully we will have enough to get some sort of a group discount.

I'd gladly send it your way if I could! It's been doing a sleety, rain/snow mix since Friday afternoon. It's really yucky. The kids are here on their last day of winter break, and they can't go outside to play because it's so nasty and cold!

Where in Texas is Dripping Springs? I have a sister in law who lives in Spring, Texas. I know Texas is HUGE, but are you anywhere near?

Dripping springs is just outside of Austin. Spring is near Houston.

im going to be able to get online for about 5 minutes a day while im on my cruise...not enough to catch up too much, but enough to hopefully get anything major!!
