I just wondering if you got lost in your kitchen!! But then you posted on the new weight loss thread!!

How did your baking go?

The baking went great!! That's why I said I'd be your support on the weight loss thread - not a participant! I haven't been on because a)Matt had an ear infection and we had to come home from school yesterday and b) today I went to the dentist, and let me tell you, it wasn't a good day. Skunka had to come and pick me up - when I got the shot of novacaine, apparently he got extremely close to the nerve and the side effect was a burning sensation and an electrical synapse pulsing through your jaw. I was immediately pulling his hands to stop and I was crying hysterically. I am a real skirt when it comes to the dentist, but this guy was doing great. I had a root canal and two different caps done by him, but I was done in by a small cavity!! He said we would have been better off not using the novacaine (now he tells me!). So I haven't been myself all day - I keep going over it in my head and get stop. It really did me in!

I got a question for all of you grammar type English people. What is the difference between than and then? Please don't laugh, I pronounce both of them the same, when they are written down on a piece of paper or when I am reading something. So how can I tell them apart if I pronounce them the same way or how are they different. I don't get it, I need help.

I'm sorry that the dentist caused you trauma. Hopefully you will be able to come up with something happier to replay in your mind, so you forget about it.

I hate the dentist, just cannot stand even having my teeth cleaned.

The only reason I keep going over it in my head was because it was going so well.... I was almost becoming less of a chicken... NOW I'm a HUGE chicken again. The good news is that I'm looking good and I shouldn't have to go back again, except for a cleaning. The dentist also told me that if I have to have novacaine again, he's NOT doing it. He'd send me to another dentist... I think I spooked him.

Hi, everyone. Well, BK is much better! she ate a ton today and even had an "attitude" and got time-out. So, all is well!

Got all of my grocery shopping done today, so I'll be cooking and baking a ton in the next few days. I made a gingerbread house with the kids today. Too much work. We'll stick with cookies from now on. DH said he'd just buy me a ceramic one to display next year!

Kids have ENT appt in the am, so I've got to get to bed. Oh, and Brantley-Kate lost her first tooth tonight! She is so excited. Called all the grandparents and told them the Tooth Fairy is coming. I have pics I'll post tomorrow.
