Denise!! :rotfl2:

Kate you were talking about Julia and her acting.Well Erich does this Smigal(sp?) from Lord of the Rings voice, and he can do Stitch. He was doing this thing yesterday with Smigal complaining he gets bad press and then Stitch comes in and said some stuff!! I have to get him on film or tape before his voice changes and he can't do them anymore! :teeth: The boy is crazy...I have no idea WHERE he gets that!! :rolleyes1

If you can't get her recipe for Pfeffernusse, let me know. I have a few of them here!
Thanks, Elin. Mom never actually had a recipe for Pfeffernusse -- and she calls herself a 1st generation American! She gave me her recipes for Angel Kisses and Rum Balls instead. No, I won't take the Rum Balls in to work, although it might make for an interesting day! (I was stunned to learn that they don't go in the oven at all -- no chance of the alcohol being burned away. And I KNOW I tried some as a child!)

I managed to read through the 10 pages you all posted today even though I had connection issues with the DIS site for a few minutes. I liked all the new designs.

Busy day here, did some grocery shopping and pick up a couple of Xmas gifts, video taped the contents of the restaurant that I work for, cooked dinner for the 11 of us (my immediate family) and managed to wrap quite a few christmas presents.

Hopefully I'll get more wrapped tomorrow.

Has the timeline in Beauty and the Beast ever bothered anyone else?

The petal is going to fall from the rose on the Beasts 21st birthday -

but in "Be our Guest" - they sing

for 10 years we've been rusting needing so much more than dusting

Why on earth was the enchantress so concerned with the selfishness of an 11 year old?!?! and how does Beast have a picture of him as an adult prince hanging in the west wing?

Okay - i feel better now that I have voiced my concern
OMG, me too, me too! That line in the song has bugged me forever!

Just until it cools. I can't say how long for sure. I usually touch the top and if my finger doesn't sink in then it's probably done.

Deb

DEB, Can you post that fudge recipe again....please? I missed is earlier and I am a couple of days behind. I wonder if I make it for teachers gifts if they would like it.

Thanks, Lynn

Denise - Thank you soooo much for the designs. I think they came out great!! The kids are going to be so thrilled and wonder how on earth they turned into princes and princesses. I will tell them "Disney magic."

Thanks to all who commented on them.

More PD requested. Alyssa woke up worse today. Now she has congestion and a fever...101.5. She will miss school today and gymnastics. Too bad too, because they were having a performance at gymnastics. But Disney is more important so she needs to rest up. At least we have a few days yet for her to get over this. Now I have more time to finish my shirts too. Especially if she needs to stay home tomorrow as well.

Kate - I loved your list. That was too cute.

Marti - Has skunka heard his song yet?

Amy :)

Kate - that top 10 shirt is adorable!

Two exams down, one more to go! And before you ask.... let's just leave it at -- I passed the classes at least :rotfl:

Here studying until 1ish, then DONE! Then it's off to catch up with the last month of planning for Disney.... we leave in less than 48 hours!! :earseek:

:wizard: for Alyssa

Has the timeline in Beauty and the Beast ever bothered anyone else? - YES, its bothered me! the only way I could figure it is if the petals START to fall on his 21st birthday and he's 31 by this time....

I think perhaps its a bit of Disneyfication so people don't think Beast is cradle-snatching :)

ETA: don't get too excited about it being quiet at WDW - UK schools break up on Friday 16 as well!

Amy&Kevin...love the pictures of Alysssa with Santa You're tree is really cute.I like all the tri circle Mickey ornaments on it.Did you make some of those?

99% of the ornaments on our Disney tree came from WDW, DL and Hallmark. :teeth: We do have one homemade ornament and that was a recent gift from a Queen you all know well. princess:

Our traditional tree is put together and Kevin put the lights on it...it might have to stay that way for a day or two though, because cut-out cookies are on my agenda today. Do you like those too, Jennifer? :goodvibes

We leave on Thursday to celebrate Christmas this weekend in Huron, OH, (my parents are divorced, so this will be two celebrations). I still have so much to do! I actually made a list and time is :hourglass

So, you all will be in my thoughts, but my thread time will probably be pretty limited for the next week. :guilty:

Do they contain sugar?! Then of course :rotfl:

Actually, I'm just insanely jealous. Baking is one of my FAVORITE things about the holidays, and I think there's going to be none of it this year! :guilty:

I made Deb's fudge recipe and it is wonderful. So easy. I have never been able to make fudge and I have tried several recipes in the past. This is sooooo easy. Thanks Deb for sharing.

The EASIEST fudge recipe ever:

1 bag semi sweet chocolate morsels (12 oz)
1 bag peanut butter morsels (12 oz though 10 oz will work)
2 tbs butter or margerine
2 cans sweetened condensed milk (14 oz)

You need 2 medium sized glass bowls and a 9 x 9 pan. I usually use glass, but I don't think there is a reason for it.

Completely line your pan with aluminum foil.

Place one bag of morsels in a bowl. Add one can sweetened condensed milk and 1 tbs butter. Place in microwave. You need to melt the chips and all microwaves vary in cooking times. Try 1 1/2 to 2 minutes and stir. Place back in microwave in 30 second intervals removing to stir until mixture is smooth. Pour mixture into pan.

Repeat above step with other bag of morsels. Pour on top of previous layer. Let set up (I usually put in fridge to move things along). Once set up you can remove from pan by pulling up on the aluminum foil. Peel the aluminum foil off and cut into peices.

** I have used many different kinds of chips with various levels of success. 2 layers of chocolate works or 2 layers of peanut butter. I've done a layer of mint, rasberry, cherry, butterscotch. The only one that wasn't good was cinnamon. We get flavored morsels at King Arthur Flour.
