To those of us getting ready to leave....it looks like it is going to be cool. I checked the extended forecast and highs are in the mid 60's through mid December. Bummer.

With all the creativity and computer savvy people here on the DDA, I was wondering if someone has disney-themed travel journal pages they would like to share.

My last pages were 8 1/2x11 and had pages for each day of our trip to write what we did, where we ate, favorite things, etc. I can't seem to find the file now.

Does anybody here have something like this?

I was reading the have you gotten yours thread and I don't see anyone in Ohio who has gotten one - someone got one who has only been a memebr for a year - seems most resorts have gotten some - and I am F alphabetically - so geography seems to make the most sense - but I have seen some get them in one area and others not -

I wonder if your guide has anything to do with it?

It doesn't appear that much of Illinois has received them either. Yesterday was a Chicago suburb. Hoping for this weekend.

We've been at a different hotel every single night... talk about annoying! But we've had some pretty spectacular free dinners, and I've pretty much done nothing productive while Kyle is interviewing. It's been nice

It set us back $800 +tax but was worth every cent!

You're so right Rosiejo - I remember my very ordinary wedding photo package costing £300+ (you would have been a toddler then )

Elin - moreish means you keep needing just a little bit more 2 BATCHES!!!! What the **** do you mix it in? I started off in my Tupperware 7.5 litre bowl - too small. So I split it between 2 BIG Pyrex bowls and the classic PC batter bowl - squeezed it into the oven but had trouble stirring it Finally transferred to PC rectangular baker PLUS my really big baker that I use for roast potatoes if we have company.

Actually I've eaten a bit much now, so it should be safe for a couple of hours

You know, a while back on one of the sub-threads, someone had wondered "aloud" what the Disney lawyers would think about us infringing their copyrights. With the long list of members who've had theirs for 2 weeks on the DVC Planning Board and NONE of us on the Creative DISigns Board having ours, I'm starting to wonder if this is Disney's way of sticking it to us copyright violators!

Well it FINALLY happened!!!

The Creative DISign Board!!! What do y'all think of that name? I hope you like it,I thought it described the board very well.

I have been waiting around since Weds. for it to get set up! Then today or was it yesterday when I wasn't looking... the WM did this! LOL!

DHJoe got a tooth pulled yesterday so I've been nurse maid and haven't been able to be check regularly to see if the CD Board got set up! It's probably going to take me a week... or longer ... to check in on everything and update some of the other things like the Design Gallery.

First off I am NOT an idiot and covered my legal bases a long time ago. I had my DH Joe check with our lawyer when all this designing stuff started back in July .I didn't want it going full out and then Disney coming after the DIS.The lawyer informed us that as long as no selling was being done Disney shouldn't have a problem.If Disney did have a problem all they would do is send a cease and desist to the DIS,not sue or anything .Also a few of the designers DHs are lawyers and they all have concurred.The WM are the ones that suggested this board,the WM didn't want me to leave the DIS so they know EXACTLY what is going on ,on here .I have been a DIS Moderator for close to 8 years now,I've worked hard for the DIS on all the boards I have moderated.I have always strived to make the DIS a warm,welcoming and informative piece of cyber space.

This thread,that started on TPAS that now has turned into the Creative DISigns Board all on it's own, is one of the most generous bunch of people I have had the pleasure to come to know during my time here at the DIS.

I look forward to welcoming MANY new members into the ...DDA...Disney Design Addicts.

Hello everyone!

Sorry I was MIA today, but Friday's are family day.

As for the egg it is a candy cane, didn't find out until early this morning, if you are running Mozilla you can't see the egg hatched.

I was stunned when I first came looking for this thread, than saw Webmaster Alex's sticky, WOOHOO our own forum.

Very happy to see Baloo back as our Mod.

I also hate all seafood. I was sick for my entire pregnancies (x3) and it wasn't morning sickness it was all day sickness. I also have a hatred for onions. Don't like the texture, taste or smell.

I was also sick all day an all night with all my pregnancies (4). I had something called hyperemisis gravidarium(sp?) Sometimes just swallowing my own saliva made me sick. They had to put me on medication so I could keep fluids down. Of course, they were all worth it.

I was trying to be tongue-in-cheek about the DVC book/copyright violation thing -- I hope it came across that way -- but if not, I'm sorry to have brought it up. Someone else had posted their concern about the legality on a subthread and I just thought I'd make a joke. (Wierd sense of humor, I know.) I didn't agree with that poster's concern then (esp. since none of us are doing this for profit), and I thought the whole thing would be kind of laughable in this context of us not having our DVC books and collectively scratching our heads as to why not.

Thanks for investigating it, though, and for setting our minds at ease. (And sorry to bring it up again after you said this would be the end of the discussion; I just wanted you to know my post wasn't at all meant in a serious manner.)

Anyway, thanks for ALL you've done for us! I think this is the best home our "little thread" has had yet, and I'm thrilled to have you back as our Mod!
