Sugar and Spice and Everything Nice
I like this saying, but I would go with the notepad. I,personally, would get more use out of it. I guess it depends on which you think they would use more.

Kate I think the notepad has more uses but the notebooks are cuter. Your kids are adorable, both of them, but Julie really knows how to pose for the camera. Has she every been in any beauty contests.

THANK YOU ....Tammi67

Duh....What a dummie I am..

Thanks again!! :teeth: :teeth:
You're welcome. Sometimes we just go on and on and things seems to get lost, so if you or anyone asks something and doesn't get a response, that is probably what happened.

As a mother of a freshman, this scares me a bit!

That's nothing. Where I taught, we were considered in the top 10 high schools in the nation for teenage pregnancy. I taught an after school class on parenting, and did hours and hours of tutoring, just trying to get these girls to graduate high school. I even talked the principal into opening up a day care center in our high school so these girls could go to class. Our Home Ec (I guess they don't call it that anymore), department, used the day care to teach babysitting safety, etc.

It got really scary. Especially when I asked the girls why so many of them would go out of their way to get pregnant (85% got pregnant on purpose), and the answer I got was "There's nothing else to do here." That would make me so mad I would scream, "Take a walk, read a book, learn a musical instrument, pick up a different hobby!" I just didn't get it!

BTW Kate, why are most of your pictures taken in front of the front door?

I know what you mean. One time, three of my seniors came back from lunch high! :earseek: I pretty much tortured them throughout the class (tapping pencils on their desks to keep them awake, etc.) and then, of course, called their principal. Ah, the good ole' days!

Amy :)

When I think of some of the things I did as a teacher, I cringe, since I could get fired nowadays if I did the same things.

A straight A student in one of my classes had hair that literally went down to her ankles. She used to wear it long, but sometimes she would braid it and pile it on top of her head. One day she came into class and just put her head on her desk. I asked her what was wrong, and she told me she had a headache because of her hair pulling on her head all day. I gave her 2 extra strength Tylenol, and we went on with our class. After she left, I panicked because that is so against policy. Later her mom called me and thanked me for helping her daughter. Boy did I heave a sigh of relief.

You are clearly ahead of her!!!

ALSO

Julia has never been in any beauty contests - that picture is from her dance recital - she is a TOTAL ham!!

Kevin signs his posts - so I just searched for their posts in this thread with the word Kevin in it and was able to weed out the ones where Amy just used Kevin's name and when he signed - Kevin has 31 of the posts and Alyssa actually has 1 - so you can take 32 away from her total :goodvibes

Tammi -- We really liked the Amerisuites when we stayed there before. It was so convenient and the people there were so nice.

In fact, DH rolled over on his glasses after falling asleep reading and broke the temple right off the frame. His sunglasses were the same frame so I decided I could probably switch them out... but at 4:00 a.m. there was no place around I could go get a tool. One of their maintenance guys MADE me a tool out of a piece of metal and I fixed his glasses while the rest of the family and DH slept like babies.

We flew Delta in October out of Richmond and had a little concern about them canceling the almost empty flight to MCO. But they didn't! In fact, the flight attendant told us that the night before they had flown from RIC-MCO with only one passenger on board! How can airlines keep in business like that???

Our flights this trip are on Independence Air and so far they are still up and running so we are assuming we will fly with them in SEVENTEEN days!

When you get your shirts done, wanna iron mine?!?!? I printed out the designs about 2 weeks ago (including a set for a family from my school that is going the same time we are) and they are still sitting here on the computer desk waiting patiently to be ironed onto the shirts that are hanging patiently in the closet waiting to be adorned... I can see it now... the morning of our trip, after I have finished the last of the 26 recitals I will be ironing like a madwoman :earseek:
I hope our experience is as good as yours was.

And no, I don't want to do the ironing. I printed out a bunch last night and they are laying on top of my computer. I still need to take them to the stores and find color-coordinating t-shirts. Then cut around all the designs. That can wait until next week though. Or maybe I can assign that job to DH!! :teeth: Do you think it is possible to screw that up??;)

Can't say as I blame him, this sounds much better that what you would get at chik-fil-a (whatever that is?)
Actually, for fast food, Chick Fil A (nutrition wise) is pretty good. He gets 4 chicken nuggets, a bowl of fruit, milk and a prize (they have good ones, usually mini versions of popular books) for like $4.00. At La Madeleine we share a rotisserie dinner and by the time you add drinks and I get a salad since DS won't leave me any broccoli or potatoes, it's more like $16.00-$20.00. That's all he'll eat there, so I can't go any cheaper.

I know Nick is really a good kid, but how about "Beauty and the Beast" or "These two keep everyone hopping" "Who me, did what?"

I don't know, just a couple of ideas.
