Hey everyone, I'm just checking in after the big Turkey day. It sounds like you all had a wonderful holiday. I'm so surprised that mine was as wonderful as it turned out to be. I hosted my parents, and luckily everything turned out so well. The turkey was done to perfection, and everything else looked good, too. I wasn't able to eat anything but the turkey and gravy, so I just had to admire the rest of the food from afar. I did have a bite of a low carb pumpkin pie that was good, but much too rich for my body right now, so I stopped after one bite. The best news is that I stepped on the scale the next morning and saw that I was down another 2 pounds!!!!! My official count as of today is 30 pounds lost in just under 4 weeks! I told DH that I'm probably the only person I know who could weigh in the day after Thanksgiving, and be 2 pounds lighter. That made it all worthwhile!
I couldn't do any BF shopping this year. DH had to work, so I had to stay with the kids. Luckily, DH is a photographer for a news station, and was sent to a couple of stores. He was able to pick up 2 DVD players, a tool set he's been wanting, and a steam cleaner with a free carpet sweeper. All in all, not a bad day.
I've missed chatting with everyone!
Karebear1 - congrats on your milestone! That is so cool!!!!!!
I hope everyone that is traveling home this weekend is safe, and for those heading out to the World, have a wonderful time, and come back to report to us! Don't forget a detail!
