Last week DH was getting ready to read the Christmas story to Julia and he said - "Whose birthday do we celebrate on Christmas?" Julia's answer was "Adam's" :rotfl2: DH was not so amused - he is dreading her answer at Sunday school!!

:rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl: Kate- I hope you write these things down! That is so funny!!! :rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl:

When my DS was about 4 we took him to a museum. In the museum there was a part where there was an African village and the women in the village were, of course , dressed as they would be if they were in Africa- just a skirt and no top. My DS looked at those "women" for the longest time then said.... "Man! They have big muscles!" :rotfl:

We live nearby! We're off Scholls Ferry Road in Beaverton. :goodvibes
OMG
We live Cornellious Pass & Baseline.
We are like 10 minutes away from each other.

YEAH! We have an Oregon contingent!!! I was in Beaverton on Monday- went to the NIKE employee store- had lots of fun!!

Oh Lisa! That's simple! We'll just have a big screen TV (we are talking live feed on tv right?!?!? ;) )on the tour bus and we'll stop and watch the birth when it happens. We'll assign someone to be on the bus at all times so we don't miss a thing!

Brendita- can you install a satallite on the bus? Does anyone have wireless out there????
Not sure on a bus.
But for sure on any building.
I like cable better.

Ok all in Oregon we need to get together before I take off.
For some reason DH is being very nice since the dishwasher mishap.
So maybe some weekend.
I have a nice back yard when it's all cleaned up.

Amy -- thanks for typing out the peanut butter ball recipe. My DS10 is a picky eater -- totally unlike me-- and is skinny as a rail (unlike me too!). He loves his aunt's peanut butter balls, which are made very differently from these. Now I have another recipe I think he will like as much or better, to entice him to eat MORE. He does eat some fruit and a few veggies, and chicken, but he's so skinny that I don't mind him eating desserts. Besides, his favorites (besides the peanut butter ones) are usually low-fat. He'd rather have sherbert than ice cream. That blows my mind!

Thank you so much! I think I will make these for our Christmas party at work

I don't call them buckeyes, because all the buckeyes I've eaten seem "dryer" than these peanut butter balls. Plus, when I dip them, I cover the whole thing in chocolate.

Another "must try" recipe!!

How's a girl to keep her schoolgirl figure round here!

I am trying to make a price sheet for work. I need it to print horizontaly(hope that makes sense). Dh usually does this for me, but I need to get this done. I have the sheet done, I just don't know how to adjust it. I sound pitiful don't I :rotfl: Any help would be greatly appreciated! By the way, the snow is finally here :cold: Glad I can stay home today!

what program?

in word & Excel go to file - page setup and choose the landscape option

I usually make peanut butter balls too. I don't think I'll find time this year though. I have a recipe for microwave fudge that is excellent and I think I'll find time somewhere to make it. It takes about 10 minutes. :rotfl: :rotfl:
I managed to vacuum, do 3 loads of laundry and dye the shirts. Not a bad morning althought the kids are fighting non stop. Nobodies dead so all is well. Got to keep moving. I'll check in after work tonight. Don't talk too much so I don't have 10 pages to read when I get home (I know that I will).

Deb

Just saw this on another thread and thought some of you lucky enough to have a disney store nearby might be interested:

if you still have a disney store, get there asap...all toys buy 1 get 1 free (& their prices are much better than they used to be), kids plush character slippers $7.99, all special christmas merchandise 50% off (adults plaid flannel pajama set with mickey for $15, anyone?), regular plush characters 2/$20, character beanbags 2/$10, mugs (lots of oversize ones!) 2/$12, & tons more! i got $70 worth of stuff for $40!

Hey Newbie -

Good to see you. Haven's seen you around for a while (or else I have just missed it).

as you read this story please keep in mind that I had two c-sections

Julia just talked to DH on the phone - here is the conversation: (her side)

Daddy - I have great news - Aunt J and Uncle D are GOING TO HAVE A BABY!!!

Guess what else great news I have? Amy is GOING TO HAVE A BABY!

Wait Daddy - now I have bad news - they can't just pop the baby out! They have to get a doctor to do it - Remember you wanted Mommy to just pop me out but she couldn't so the doctor had to pop me out!

where does she get this stuff

oh and stay tuned for what came home in her backpack two days ago...

When I was pregnant with DD, DS was 4 1/2. He was terribly concerned about how the Dr. was going to get that thing out of me. He thought they were going to have to cut me open. Spent a lot of time trying to explain the "special place" that mommies have for babies to come out. DH gets a big kick out of these discussions.

Dying to know what was in the backpack.

my mom picked Julia up from school the other day so I missed this in her backpack until last night:

they made a book and colored the pages and told the teacher what they were drawing

there was a page that had two people - the page said

my mommy

mommy is pregnant :earseek:

OMG - do her teachers think I am pregnant now?!?!?!

I asked her why she said mommy was pregnant and she said "remember mommy before I was born you were pregnant with me? " So I guess she drew the picture as a past event but I am betting that is not what they think at school!!
