My mom kept my first tooth and I came across it one day a few years later while I was helping her clean... I was totally grossed out!

ETA: now, though, I get it. But man, when I was 6 or 7....

This reminds me of a story. Oh - warning: may be suitable for moms and nurse-types only

I took care of a little boy a few weeks ago (about 4) who was TOTALLY hung up on a nurse that had visited in the morning (to get a few samples). When I got to talking to him to figure out what he was so concerned about, he asked me why in the world that nurse would want to keep his pee pee!?

Love love LOVE that age ... but you could understand his concern!

Sounds like my DD, no change!!! She hated me getting my hair done! Hated it! No change no change! She is 12 and is still like that! She remembers EVERYTHING I ever did or said, where we were and what we had on BUT now thats all good cuz it makes our mother/daughter trips sooo fun!
She remembers standing in WDW "here" and "doing this" and "the person said this", details! So fun!

I was (am ) the same way. When my parents got a new couch, I cried for the entire night becuase I loved the old one.

Then, within a few weeks, they got rid of "my favorite car" too! I was a wreck!

They still make fun of me for it

Make sure he knows that the fairy knows sometimes we lose to tooth or swallow it. Happens a lot! Still gets $!

To get DD to give up her binky, we put it under the pillow for the tooth fairy, and the tooth fairy left her a barbie and some $ she was sooooo was a charm of an idea!

I wonder how that would work for a thumbsucker? I need ideas! LOL

Julia realized the week of her 2nd birthday - that I gave her her binky for two reasons - to stop her from crying and to put her to bed - so one day everytime I tried to give it to her - she threw it out - I never had a struggle with her - she was not willing to give up her tantrums for a binky!! Luckily - she doesn't REALLY know how to throw a good tantrum - although she is much better at them now then when she was 2!!!

Nick on the other hand came out sucking his middle and forefinger and hasn't stopped since

Well, it's off to do the American Girl Fashion Show. This sounds like a big emptier of pockets. When I get her the doll and the accessories she wants, looks like the same price as my AP renewal.

4 nights room only at Pop. Oy...

I watched my DGS tonight and I'm numb on Elmo. 4 different videos, and then we started into the on demand.

LOL I'll let you know. It's funny, I had a binky girl and a thumbsucker. With Kaelyn, after she turned 3, I had her throw the binky away. She was great from then on. Never fussed about it at all. With Stephanie, she knows not to suck her thumb, she'll hide it from us, or if you walk into a room, she'll pull her thumb out and look at us like a deer in headlights. LOL So she knows she's not supposed to, but she still does it.

Who changed my signature??? It used to rotate to the other saying and I understand that was probably too big, but mine used to be centered. When and who????

We're going to see the Wiggles tomorrow! I love them. The music is fun, and my kids adore them too. BTW, Anthony was looking pretty good last year when we went.

I wanted to take my kids when they were here in Sept. but it was the week of our beach vacation. I have heard great things about their show. Murray is my favorite.

It seems that a few people got an email saying that their signature was too big and they would have to change it. so Kate changed hers and if you copied off hers, your automatically changed as well

Where did it go? Who knows? I think it is following the same path as the penny!

He doesn't care cause the Tooth Fairy is making her first appearance tonight! We had no idea it was that loose. Went to brush his teeth and it had obviously just come out. If I'd known, I would have gotten him a Disney Dollar from the tooth fairy to spend in 2 weeks. I'm so sad that my little boy is really growing up. His other bottom tooth is hanging on barely, so it'll be out soon. BK has one loose. Davis none, and he is MAD 'cause he wasn't first!

What a milestone. Nicholas is having a hard time because all of his friends have lost teeth and it's like his are glued in there.

BTW, what is the going rate for a tooth?

In our circle it is $5 for the FIRST tooth, then $1-2 after that. Make sure the tooth fairy sprinkles pixie dust on his pillow, too.

Ok, ok. Sad part is he didn't have a tooth to leave under the pillow. He was really bummed about that. We keep hoping we'll find it. I'm not losing the next one! BTW, for you experienced moms, did you save their teeth? I'm kind of sad we missed saving the first one.

My mother still has all of my baby teeth. I have know idea what she is planning on doing with them. When I was little she would tell me that she was going to make me a necklace out of all of them.

you are now linked to the new DDA logo but it has the name of the new logo - it used to be just dda now it is dda small so somehow the link was changed - did hunka hunka do it for you? otherwise - maybe the powers that be decided instead of sending emails to just adjust the logo for you?!?

if so - I think that was pretty nice of them - to center it =- go to your user cp - edit signature - highlight and hit the center button then save signature
