I actually never minded watching Shining Time Station and Barney with my sister. :rolleyes:QUOTE]

Ahhhhh... How about Eureka's Castle and Today's Special from the old Nickelodeon Network? Or The Elephant Show with Sharon, Lois and Bram?

And then there was Baby Songs... I think that is what it was called. We have ALL those videos.

And if we go back to FirstBorn DD... Sesame Street.

:earseek: :earseek: :earseek: NO WAY! :earseek: :earseek: :earseek:

Oh my.... those were MY shows when I was younger, not Cassi's! You hit on my two VERY favorite, Eureka's Castle and Today's Special. Nobody even knows what I'm talking about with the second! That mannequin... oh, I LOVED Those shows! And the elephant show... "Skinnamarinkydinkydink Skinnamarinkydoo I - Love - You!"

Wow. :) You just made my day... :rotfl: :rotfl:

Glad to make you so happy, Jennifer!

In Today's Special there was Sam, the security guy; Jodie, the sales clerk/dresser; and Jeff, the mannequin!

And, Eureka's Castle had Plus and Minus, if I remember correctly.

Yes, and also Magellan the dragon and Batley, and all those other characters that would always have that great big feast :rotfl:

Ok, so what about David the Gnome and Double Dare? Those were also some of my favorite! Then when I got a little older, it was Clarissa Explains it All, the Secret World of Alex Mack, Wild and Crazy kids (which I got to go on when they came to Kings Island!), Hey Dude (where Christine Taylor got her start ;)).....

I'd love to watch some of those over again!

Me and I'm in withdrawals! I love Edie Falco.

ETA: I wrote this before I read Tammi's advice. We are on the same wave length. Either that or her mother and I are the same age....
I think she has a few years on you!:goodvibes

GO BUCKS!

No Michigan fans around here, right? If so, I just may have to rethink my membership

Phew! Caught up at last! Now take it easy all of you.

I was due with dd on dh's birthday

I was due with DS(12) on our 3rd wedding anniversary, Dh's birthday is the day after - eventually had to be induced 2 weeks later, but at least we get to keep our cards up for a couple of weeks :goodvibes

My birthday is the day after my mothers and she used to have to take her cards down the next day :guilty:

Game night is on...only 8 1/2 hours away! :jumping1:

Julia, don't you worry...Kevin took some Advil last night and his headache is gone. :flower:

Hope everyone has a great time. I am cooking for 9 people today for our thanksgiving dinner tonight, so I will miss all the fun.

Good to hear Kevin's headache is better.

Does anyone have the Magic Kingdom board game? I'm considering getting it for DS's bday :cake: and am looking for some feedback first.

Between 5:30 and 6:00 p.m. Pizza for dinner...not sure if the rules state we play and eat at the same time or if we eat first, play later. Julia's the boss! :teeth:

That's one game we don't have. I've heard it's based on DL's Magic Kingdom though.

Amy :)

Well we will wait for Hostess Kate to log on and give us the details.

I've heard that too, ref. the game. Guess I'll have to examine it closely at the store.

We have it. It is a cross between WDW's Magic Kingdom and DL's Magic Kingdom. The lands are WDW as are some rides. Other rides (Autopia and Tarzan's Tree House are two that come to mind) are from DL. Santa brought it last Christmas. We haven't played it for quite a while, but we enjoyed it.

Triplefigs - Congratulations to Rees on losing his first tooth! I hope the Tooth Fairy was good to him!! My mom used to leave silver dollars. I really believed in the TF because I'd never seen those before!

MinnieMouseMom and J & N's Mom - My mom got DS to stop sucking his fingers when he was 3. They were always in his mouth and his teeth were starting to be affected. PM me if you want to know what she did. It's a little mean, but he doesn't seem to be scarred for life :teeth:

Tinker1Bell - hope you had a Grrrrreeeeeeaaaaattttt! time as Tony the Tiger!

Marti - we've been throwing around the idea of spending Christmas at WDW. I just can't imagine not waking up in my home, with my tree on Christmas morning. I'd love to hear from others who have done it. Right now we're thinking about early December again.

Julia and Kevin - may the best man, or er princess win!

General comments/questions - I know the triplets are 5, but on average at what age do kids start losing their teeth? This is one aspect of childhood that totally freaks me out. I am scared of wiggly teeth  !

Speaking of wiggling - for those of you who like the Wiggles, or did like the Wiggles but your kids are a little too old for them, check out the Imagination Movers if they come to your area: http://www.imaginationmovers.com/website/index.php
I don't think they're touring right now because they're from New Orleans and were affected by Katrina, but they just did a show in Baton Rouge and they are awesome! It's a very high energy, fun show. I know they've toured before so I imagine they will again.

:cheer2: Geaux Tigers, Go Bucks, Roll Tide!! :cheer2:

Alyssa has been sucking her thumb since birth and in the past few months, she has also started playing with her belly button. I bought her a whole bunch of onesie turtlenecks, and she gets really frustrated, because she can't reach her bb, so usually I end up unsnapping them.

Last night, she had a category 3 meltdown when we were leaving the restaurant, because Kevin put her coat on, thus no access to bb.

Luckily, she sleeps through the night in her blanket sleepers, but as soon as she wakes up, I have to let her walk around with them unzipped, so she has bb access.

Anyone else have any experience with this?
Amy :)

I would gently discourage the belly button playing if I were you. I know from personal experience (and ds would kill me if he knew I was mentioning this) that it can get very annoying and be persistant. Same ds was a major thumbsucker by the way.
