Thank you for your thoughts. It is comforting to know that I am not the only one who has felt a heightened sense of grief since the passing of a close relative.

I would let him decide if he wants to go to the services but would really enbourage him to go - I do not deal well with funerals but the more Igo the more I realize how important they are to the grieving process

On the topic of CRT - this may become a girls treat for us while the boys go do something manly

I wonder if this will fly or if they will have to go back to the old prices - I really think a lot of people will stop going

I am getting a little nervous

Disney significantly raised their cruise prices and now this - what else are they raising? I am worried that it may not continue to be a cost effective option for us - although since I own DVC we would just have to cut down on things we do there - probably not good business for them - once I am there I would imagine they would want me to want to spend my money on property and not find more affordable dininc choices!!!!

Disneyeveryyear -- hugs to you and your family. Maybe you could get your son a breast cancer bracelet? It's pink, so he probably wouldn't wear it, but it would be something he could keep in his room in rememberance of his wonderful teacher. My mother is a breast cancer survivor, and my son has a pink bracelet in honor of his Mumsey (that he keeps by his bed), but he's almost 10. Yours is older so that might not be okay for an older one.

Whatever you decide, your DDA DIS friends are here for you.

oh man! We got DS a captain Hook hat last trip, but never got around to get his name on it.. So we figured we do it this trip.. not for $7!

itslisa...How about these? I just changed the border color in the Pats one and then added the same border to the MNF one. They would look good front and back on a blue shirt.

Actually, I think it is $2. $2 is not a lot ... but on multiple hats it DOES add up. And it's the principle of it all. I feel like WDW is really beginning to nickel and dime us to death! And when you think about the basic felt ears and what they charge for them already ....

That's funny. For my family of 6, it's probably more true than a joke. I always wanted to eat at CRT but for those prices and the fact that my boys don't really care if they eat with princesses, I'm not sure we'll ever go. Oh well. We're going in 2 years for our 10th anniversary in Dec. Maybe DH will surprise me. I just hope they don't raise their hotel prices too much more.

Also, might I add that I really hope you are all well stocked in Diet Coke. This is the first night I've been able to be on, and DH has been out of town for 3 nights. I'm here by myself bored to tears and FINALLY not to busy or stressed for the DISboards.... I know it's friday night, but really -- where else would you rather be? Hope to see you all around when I come back from makin' some dinner!

Regarding the new pricing and ADR news....tourism for Disney must really be up that they feel that they can do this. I'm glad we got CRT for our Dec. trip, because I will not pay that amount of money. Unfortunately, some people will, which will just reinforce Disney's policy.

First let me say your Hercules family costumes are AWESOME!!!! SOOOOO Cute and Clever!!



I was a Christmas tree for a party one year (won 1st prize! ). You can purchase a helium filled star shaped balloon and attach it to be the star on the top of the tree. (I wrapped the ribbon around my ponytail.) I also wrapped boxes that I could slide my shoes into. The bottoms were open so I could walk find - just had to put my tennis shoes on after my feet were in the box. I also sewed cheap garland around the tree (I used green felt to make a 'tree' dress). The battery operated lights look fantastic but the battery pack is heavy because of the D batteries so I used a fanny pack to carry that.

Since you have the holiday season (and clearance ) ahead, you may be able to find some better lights/ornaments then I could. I can't wait to see those pictures!!

I had thought of the presents on the shoes. I'm not sure if it will effect the way a 3 year old walks though. I hadn't thought of a balloon for a star. I am going to look for a small battery operated star so if I can't find one I could do the balloon. Our tree at home always has homemade ornaments and strung popcorn so If I can't find what I'm looking for I can always make them.
