HI, all! Catching up. Watched Apprentice and then ER was a rerun, so I went to bed early. This cold is really catching up to us all. Taught school today, and had 5 out again with stomach flu. The poor kids are so sick already! Anyway,

Kate, love the Tink and spiderman names. We'll chat about Apprentice after everyone watches. Needless to say, WOW!

Rosiejo, so excited for your upcoming wedding. Wishing you a lifetime of love and happiness!

ljb9539- Love the F&W shirts. Glad your dad had a great b'day!

Momof2OH, the border looks great on those football shirts! I may need some "Missing the SEC Championship Game for Disney World" designs if BAMA keeps winning. Game is December 3 and we'll be at MGM that day!

poohangel- love the painted shirt. I'd just spell out Mickey's Very Merry Christmas Party so you can use it another year if you get to go back. Did you draw the design or use a stencil? It is Gorgeous!

GoodolGal- I don't know about the pillowcase. It can't hurt to try!

Steamboat Marti- hope you are feeling better!!!!!!!!

Our signal was coming in bad last night, so it recorded with the horrible, loud static sound over the voices.. It was torture!!

I was so desperate to watch it that I put the CC on and read the whole episode!!

It just wasn't the same reading "you're fired" as hearing Donald say it!

Just making sure that you all know that ADR's can now be made 180 days out! I would hate for any of you going in Spring to have missed the announcemnet!!

For larger families, CRT is going to be VERY expensive. Think my kiddos better enjoy eating there on 11/30!

For breakfast for the 5 of us (3 kids under age 9)it would either be 10 TS credits or close to $175 and $190 for lunch (including tip and tax)!! :earseek: :sad2:

Just reading to catch up (before I leave work).

I got some devastating news today and am procrastinating before I go home to face my son. DS (now in 6th grade) had a wonderful teacher for 1st and 2nd grades. She has been battling breast cancer for 7 years. Last night something catastrophic happened and she died. I believe she was approx. 45 years old, with a DS12 and 2 DD (college age).

I am at such a loss right now (wonderful teacher :teacher: - cared more for kids than herself - scheduled chemo so she never missed schoool). I don't even know how to tell my son. :sad2:

Sorry to be such a downer, but you guys are always so friendly, I just needed to express myself.

I'm so sorry!!! That is just so sad. My prayers go out to her family and all the children and parents who obviously loved her. Hugs to you and your DS. Go home, grab some tissues, and just let him know that you are very sad about it too. I'm sure he's going to be confused and very upset. Thinking about you tonight!

Thanks for your support.

I am sitting here at the office crying just thinking about having to tell him this. This was the teacher that I had to go talk to when my MIL died (in case my DS had trouble at school). She was so giving and supportive. It just isn't fair! Ever since my father died almost 3 years ago, I seem to have a lot more emotional trouble dealing with these things. Not sure I ever resolved that properly (and hard to move on).

We don't know anything of the arrangements yet, so I haven't decided what to do about taking him to the visitation or not.

Once again, sorry to bring everyone down.

Sorry for your loss! I lost my father a year ago to cancer...it was an extremely painful and agressive type. He died in my home...the point to me telling you this is 2 things...1. his death has made me very sensitive to other people's death. 2. Kids are extremely resiliant. Tell him gently & let him grieve in his own way...but he will be fine. Kids are able to cope much easier than most adults. That is the gift of being a child...many time I have wished to be able to see things through their eyes. Good luck..& prayers are with you.

Kristine,

Thank you for your thoughts. It is comforting to know that I am not the only one who has felt a heightened sense of grief since the passing of a close relative.

I am heading home now. Not sure if I'll see you later tonight or not.

Thanks again all!
