It has taken me three hours to get through all the posts I missed!! :earseek:

A quick report...

The Welcome, Foolish Mortals Ts were a hit to the CMs we met at the MNSSHP and to others at BWI who saw us getting ready to leave for the party.

The white T shirt I made with F&W logo and Spaceship Earth and the wineglass was also noticed. The best story about that shirt happened at Big River at the BoardWalk. We had stopped in there to sample their Octoberfest Beer (didn't seem to get enough at the F&W Festival that day, I guess :rotfl: ) and the manager there (Sean) asked if I was one of the presenters at the F&W Festival! When I said no, that I had made the shirt with the help of some talented friends who were designers, he said he was very impressed. He assumed it was a new logo for the Festival this year!

I cannot believe I never saw another DISer while we were there. The one time I thought I had found one of us, I got the funniest looks from the 9-10 members of their party wearing really awesome T shirts. Even though they weren't from this board, their designer should be on here!

Tammi -- the past few years I went to WDW at the beginning of the month and it was stinking hot. This year we went in the later part of the month and it was stinking hot. I think you ought to go when it is convenient for you to go. It will be hot no matter what!

Triplefigs -- glad your trip ended up being OK!

Welcome home Marti and Paul and My3princes!! What great pics you have. And to be grand marshall. Major pixie dust! Really love the tie dyed!!! :goodvibes

Okay, I'm going to try and post the Playhouse Disney onesie I did for my grandson. Hope it is the right size....

Dawn - sounds like you had a great trip - so glad your shirts went down well - they look really good in the photos. Cool that you got to meet Kevin and Amy too, it's so bizarre how the DDAs are now recognising each other just be a shirt design - and the odds of bumping into each other at WDW must actually be slim to none so the fact it keeps happening is very spooky... :goodvibes

Denise - I love the birthday design you made for Julia - sometimes the quick designs do turn out the best :Pinkbounc

Kate - I hope Julia's birthday went well and that she had a lovely day :bday:

Paul - I can't see the picture of you and DS?? Just a red square - i can see the others though :confused3 Glad you had a good trip

My3princes - welcome home! Blimey how many Disers did you meet?? And Grand Marshalls too, I'm so jealous

I'm actually now considering making up some small business card type things with the URL of this thread to hand out to people who ask about the shirts - that is if I ever get round to making them :rotfl:

IT WAS ME!! I looked and looked the whole time we were at WDW and never saw another DISer :confused3 My DDs (27 and 19) will get a kick out of being called "women."

And to top it all off, my green Mickey head fell off sometime that night :sad1: At least now I know it wasn't on Small World! :rotfl:

Very cool. Nope you still had it when you were leaving the ride. I was trying to catch up with you but the crowd at the exit by the strollers was Crazy.

Your shirts looked GREAT!!!

:wave2:

Great pics! Oh man do I know about that red eye thing! Every pic of DD... it's the blondes! What do you use to remove it? I haven't found an easy way yet.

I use the software that came with my hp digital camera to remove the red eye. It doesn't always work though, sometimes I get a big black spot and other times it leaves a white spot in the eye. I'd say it removes the red eye well about 70% of the time.

Disneyeveryyear Feel free to put as many Mickeys on as you like. My kids called them their hidden Mickey Shirts. I also highly suggest putting your first names on them. We were addressed by name all day and remembered by CM's. My dh took the oldest and youngest on the TTA while I took the middle son on the Tommorrowland Speedway. Later in the day we all went on Buzz together and the CM loading the ride recognized Chris and Nick and asked where Colby was as he was lagging behind. Then he was Hunter and me and asked where we had been earlier in the day. I was surprised that he remembered us.

Hi...someone asked me for the directions to make the shirts in my sig so here they are: (sorry if they've been posted on this thread already)

I think this was from the Family Fun magazine.

Supplies:
Squirt bottle (I used an almost empty glue bottle and just cleaned it out)
Flour
Water
Spray fabric paint

Mix the flour and water until it is the consistency of mustard and pour into bottle. Squeeze onto the shirt in whatever pattern you desire. Lay the shirt in the sun to dry. After the mixture has hardened completely spray with fabric paint then lay the shirt in the sun for paint to dry. When the paint has completely dried slowly peel away the flour/water mixture to reveal the pattern below.

I did this on a hot day at the end of September and by the evening we had all 7 shirts ready to go. I even added spray glitter for fabric after we peeled the flour mixture off. We got lots of comments from CMs and guests alike. The CM on the boat to and from Tom Sawyer Island loved them...he said, "OOOOHHHH I love those!!! I read about them in Family Fun and have been dying to make one!!!" I hope he did because they're so easy and fun and you just can't mess them up!

The magazine had a sunburst pattern I believe. We just wanted to make it more Disney-ish and decided to use Mickey's head. I just swirled the mixture around and around with some being straight and others being at angles. Little did I realize that DisneyQuest has that same pattern on the "Q" and the folders that you get your Photopass pictures in also have Mickey's head in that same swirl pattern. Pretty neat!!!

Here's the one we made for the whole family....16 of us! In every picture we took the pirate ship seemed to glow...it was pretty cool! The image came from a link from someone on this board and it said across the top "We're Off to Neverland" and we added our names and year to the bottom and added some stars and darkened up the background so it was more midnight blue than purple. We all dressed up as characters from Peter Pan for our party on the 11th, so it was fitting that our whole theme for the trip was "We're Off to Neverland".

On the day we wore the shirts, we passed Peter Pan leading the group from the Family Magic tour and he stopped everyone and leaned over to our 4 year old and said, "I LOVE your shirt....that's my home you know!" It was pretty neat.

Those shirts are REALLY cool, Amy! I really like how you did two colors for the Mickey heads. AWESOME!!

Thanks Terry! I let the kids choose which colors they wanted and most of them got to spray their own so they each had their own "character" ;)

Do you think I can still try this in gloomy, cloudy, sunless Ohio???

I'm beginning to wonder if we will ever see the sun again :sunny: there it is for you

actually I shouldn't complain it seems to be making a rare appearance today!

I think it might take a bit longer, but it will dry without the sun! Good luck!!!

How did you do the two colored background?

Amy - I love those Mickey head shirts! I saw those instructions in Family Fun but couldn't think up a good design idea. Great imagination.

Paul & Marti, My3Princes and PNO4TE - Welcome home! I'm glad everyone had an awesome trip.

I just thought of something......2 months from now my trip will be over...... :(
