Happy 4th Birthday Julia!!!

Hi everyone..
I took a bit of time away from the boards after our trip. I got sick when I came home ( at one point I lost my voice for a week) so that didn't help but also the after trip blues really hit.

Our trip was wonderful although it went by way too quickly. We picked the girls up from school on Monday (Oct 3) and told them we had to bring some stuff to a golf course for my friend's work and we were just riding along to keep them company. (That's how we explained all the stuff covered up with a sheet in the back of the suv.) The girls didn't have a clue even when we stopped a a hotel in Georgia overnight. They really thought they had talked us in to stopping and going to Savannah the next day instead of home and school. In the morning we gave them the mother / daughter Pop Century shirts I had made. We had them read the back of the shirts (Mother and Daughter Disney World Trip October 2005) and it still took a few minutes to sink in.
Our shirts were a hit with the CM who checked us in to Pop Century. He had us showing the fronts and backs to other CMs (show front, turn around and show the back, at least 6 times) that he kept bringing out. He then asked us to wait there a minute and then a whole group of CM's came out with a bucket filled with Pop Century Toys and key rings and disney candy etc. and balloons tied to it and they proclaimed us "Pop Century's Family of the Day." This was so special for the girls. Sarra said "Is this really happening. It feels like I'm dreaming."
The shirts were commented on many times while we were at Disney. Lots of people asked where we got them. I told them I had made them thanks to the help of all the great people on Dis Boards.
While we were CRTon October 5th in line for pictures with the Fairy Godmother the man standing near me commented that I must be from Dis Boards. I thought he'd seen the lime green ribbon on my backpack. But he said he hadn't even noticed that but recognized our shirts. LOL It wasn't until I later that I realized I was talking to Kevin (KMH1). Alyssa is absolutely adorable btw.

I just wanted to thank the great people on this thread for sharing all your photo editing knowledge. Our shirts wouldn't have turned out so wonderfully if it hadn't been for you. You had a big part of making our trip one our girls will remember and cherish for the rest of their lives. Even after the point (that is coming all too soon) that a trip with mom is not cool.

I do not like the growing up part either!!! My oldest will be 10 in December & I am having a hard time with it. She was a perfect baby, never had any terrible 2's...always been a good girl, helpful, considerate, sweet..well fast forward to 9 1/2 & she has gotten quite a little attitude on her. I know she wants to be independant but I want to hold on..I know, I know....

It was nice at Disneyworld because I loved watching her face when she saw the characters especially Cinderella, Mary Poppins, & Tigger. That face staring up at the characters was the same little face that stared in amazement when she was little...

It's hard to watch your babies grow up. But on the other hand thye begin to grow into amazing little people...I love my kids for their little personalities...9 dd is very committed in school, religious, & friendly. My 6 year old ds is lovable, thoughtful, & doing great in school...& my little one dd4 is fiesty, determined, & a do it your-selfer. All I can say is to enjoy them for who they are while they are ours. (they drive me bananas some times but they are my life).

Enjoy Julia's birthday today..don't be sad...

I reflect on how big my baby is getting:

The day she was born............................................. her 1st birthday

her 2nd birthday .............................. her 3rd birthday

no 4th birthday picture yet!!

OMG. She looks so cute in all the pics. That does it I think I'll have to try one more time for a princess. I love all 4 of my boys but they won't let me put them in dresses. Now, how to make sure to up the odds it's a girl.

It is hard to let them grow up. My oldest turned 7, he thinks it's embarassing to be hugged by his mom in front of his school friends. At least, I still get to hug him at home.

Okay, here's is our special shirt for tinker1bell's birthday....

We were at Le Cellier, right before the surprise Illuminations birthday cruise.

This was the first shirt tinker1bell requested. It was designed by Midnite. It was the start of our dda. And now that I can post pictures, watch out!!!

I really like how it turned out too. Think I may make Brantley-Kate one that says "I'm a Disney Princess" with that design. And I made it in like 4 minutes! The ones I slave hours over don't look that good.

This one got a lot of attention. It was designed by Julia and Nick's Mom. It was a special shirt that tinker1bell asked for to celebrate our birthdays and the reunion of her and her sisters.

We wore it the first day we we all together. (Tuesday) We were at CRT for dinner. First time in the castle for the three of them. We had quite the week!!

Kevin really had the "knack" for picking out DDA's t-shirts!

Your mini-trip-report is awesome...what a special trip for you all! Upon looking at your pictures, I realized we sang "Happy Birthday" with you at CRT too! Your girls are beautiful!

We did miss one day. We missed on Columbus Day so it was probably a busy day to miss. We had scheduled to take a break from the parks on Thurs when we were going to the Halloween party. We just had to take it early & we went to the parks on Thursday morning for a couple of hours. It really messed up our PS because we changed the days we were planning on going to different parks. I would recommend making extra PS at different parks or resorts just in case you have to make changes. While we were there, it was very hard to get any PS.

I don't think I will eat there again just from the memories. It was some of the best food we had at WDW before it made us sick. I am sure it could happen anywhere. We were on the Fantasmic dinner package so it was a limited menu of choices. Also, it took us 2 hours to eat there which seemed way too long. Good Luck!

I am not big on Italian or 2 hours to eat. Wonder if I should change PS's, I have Fantasmic too.

Maybe that's the problem. What I did is that I resized my designs and made them 1/2 inch smaller from the bottom and now I'm printing them OK. I have no idea of what's the reason, but this solved the problem. Now I'm 3 transfers short, one already missing from the beginning, and 2 that I ruined! I'll have to buy some more tomorrow. I find them quite expensive here in Mexico. They're like $22 usd for 12 light HP transfers, couldn't find dark transfers here. How much are these in the U.S.?

I got 10 pack dark, of Avery (decent brand) for 8.97 USD at wal-mart. But then I got some off ebay too for good money. Haven't done them yet tho.
