We are flying, SW out of BWI at 0700 in the AM, which will make for a long day, but tickets were only 175 for the early flight, so I couldn't pass it up. Any chance we are on the same flight? How cool would that be?

We stayed at WL last December. Beautiful. Wanted to do something a little cheaper this year so we originally chose Pop, but then with the discount, POFQ was only $26 more, total. It was a no-brainer.

Well, we got great airfare ($152) on Independence Air at 3:15 p.m. which allows our older DD to drive up to IAD from Richmond. So we grabbed that and continue to pray they will stay in business through the end of the year.

Have you thought about doing a Park 'n' Fly at BWI? You drive in the night before and spend the night at certain hotels. They allow you to park your car there and shuttle you to and from the airport. That is what we always do when we fly SW out of BWI. It ends up costing about the same as paying parking at the airport.

We have stayed at almost every resort at WDW. Not the Yacht Club, AKL, OKW or Saratoga Springs. WL is one we always said we needed to do at Christmas and with the AP BRP we got it for $125! So, it was a no brainer for us too.

We will have to see if any of our park days match up. It would be wonderful to finally meet you in person, especially since we live less than a mile from one another!!

Ok, my little one & are going off to town for "safe trick or treating" now..The stores in town all do something nice for the kids. (displays, shop keepers all dress up) At 3:30 when my 2 older ones get home then we go through our neighborhood & to a local haunted house.

HAPPY HALLOWEEN EVERYONE!!!! HAVE A GREAT & SAFE DAY!

Jennifer and Kate - I am originally from Pittsburgh, just across the river from you all. My family is still up there. We make it how every 2-3 months or so. Cedar Point and Geagua (sp?) Lake were favorites of mine when I was little. Oh and Sea World too. I was so disappointed when they closed it.

Tammi -- Well another thing we have in common... we are originally from Punxsutawney and lived and worked in Pittsburgh for a while too! Our families are still up there and we used to go to all those parks too. As well as Kennywood and Storybook Forest in Ligonier. Small world, indeed.

Wow! You guys were talkative last night! Just during the time I was reading, three more pages were added! I gave up!

Someone asked for Halloween costume posts. Here's me with DS - his first time trick-or-treating! :earsboy:

Sorry it's so big. I tried using the method in the tech FAQ to resize it, but it didn't work. Anybody have another way to explain it?

I haven't heard about the park and fly thing. Is it on their website? I will definitely look into that. I priced around Independence but for an early flight the cost was outrageous. I want to get there early and leave late. That way it is like having extra days. So your daughters are going again this trip too?

It would be wonderful to finally meet up. I know we will be at MVMCP the same day. Once you have your itinerary done we will have to compare. But if you are the master planner like me, it would have been done months ago!

Incredible. I say Pittsburgh, but the town I grew up in was Butler. No one has ever heard of that (unless you are from up there) but people easily know Pittsburgh. Kennywood was a yearly thing growing up. I've even taken my kids there now. We haven't made it to Ligonier yet.

I know Butler well! We actually lived in Beaver when my DH was working in Pgh. Had relatives and childhood friends who lived there for a while.

You are right, my itinierary has been in place for a few months now. Maybe we can PM them and see what compares. Which MVMCP are you doing? The 18th or the 20th?

Park 'n' Fly... do you belong to AAA? They can make the arrangements for you if you do. If not, let me know and I will see where in my list of Travel Links I have any info on it at BWI. I know there are lots of properties that offer the service.

tammi - I searched BWI park n fly on yahoo and got this website

http://www.buyreservations.com/BWI AIRPORT NEW.htm

a bunch of other ones came up too!

Kate -

This is one I have found too:

http://www.bootsnall.com/park-sleep-fly/baltimore-washington.html

And, FYI - we have used the Amerisuites 3 or 4 times. Nice property and nice people.

With parking fees anywhere from $8 - $10 a day, it does not take long to come out fairly even! Especially if they feed your family breakfast while you are there, which some properties do.

Hey guys - panic over - my shirts are finally working... I think I was a bit too impatient - ie not letting the ink dry and then pressing far to hard with the iron and then peeling the paper off to quick :0)

Also I was using some parchment paper from the kitchen and then found a piece in the packet which worked much better... doh!

I'm busy printing out all the designs while DH2B is at football so I'll leave them to dry overnight then iron the rest in the morning. I've been taking some pics so I'll post some tomorrow :0)

How cute! I'll have pictures of my little Buzz Lightyear in a couple of hours. Of course it is raining here, not sure what we will do!

RosieJo- Glad to know they are working now! Looking forward to your pictures.

Wow, well we're back from our trip and I wanted to post our shirts as I didn't have time before we left. DH is a big hidden mickey fan and this is what we based them on. The shirts turned out awesome. I will try to post a pic of the finished shirts later; dh is currently editing the pics. We took them to our local tshirt shop and he used his heat transfer machine for a dollar a transfer. Well worth it since we could not get the iron hot enough to transfer. DH asked me how much I could get one of theose machines for. :rotfl2:

We got lots of attention and my mil told me someone asked her if she was from the "Dizzyboards"! :rotfl: I laughed, told her to tell them I was and gave her my screen name.

The pictures on the front are from past trips. People were doing the search on our backs in line and even walking down the street. One little eight year old boy tugged on my sil's sleeve and said, "I found Mickey!". Too cute!

I forgot to say that we also had an actual hidden Vojtik hunt in the Magic Kingdom. The kids didn't know that dh's aunt, mom, dad and sister would be there. We did a scavenger hunt with clues and they found a person in each location. They loved it!

Front first, then back.

Denise, you've outdone yourself!! I wish I were going on a Christmas trip instead of our Halloween one! DH (hunka hunka) said we may go for a couple's trip this January for my birthday. The only way we could go is to have somebody stay here to watch DS so that he doesn't miss any school. If we can iron that out -- we may be off again!!

Well, now I am feeling sorry for myself, because here in Rochester, NY the cheapest I have seen is 2.69/gallon (gas price that is)

You're not alone in your misery!! On this side of Rochester we have to search for the 2.69 -- and BJ's isn't always the cheapest.

Love it! You both look so cute!! I miss it when they're that little. That's what it is all about!

I love this! We too got more attention from shirts that were personalized, either in words or in pictures. This one seems simple in idea, but I bet you had to have quite a bit of patience to place all those photographs. It really looks great. What color shirt??

Thanks! We had gray shirts. White was ruled out by mil and gray was easiest to find the sizes since we had 9 people from 20 months to 65 years to outfit.
