N&J's Mom :wave2:

DH is finally getting into the spirit!!!!!!!!!!!! He loved the Epcot shirt for Germany (his parents were born there) and said he would probably wear that one (I still have hopes of him wearing one of your King Daddy shirts, but alas, we must take baby steps here...)

Anyway, can you post just Mickey in his laderhosen (forgive my spelling) and that wonderful Walt Disney 2005 with the mousears (but in black). I want to do something on a polo shirt with those...

You're the greatest!!

sure - will you pm this to me - I tend to forget things posted in the thread and I work off my PMs -

I will gone all day tomorrow - so most likely - there will be no more designs before Sunday night - unless I can't sleep later

Hi,
My 2 cents on this.

1. Do it in stages. I worked with a friend. I got all the shirts washed(inside out)-no fabric softner or fabric softner sheets.
2. Removed from dryer right away.
3. Friend took them home and ironed them inside out during the week.
4. Meanwhile during the week I printed all the designs on DARK transfer paper-HP. I took my time. fed 1 sheet at a time into my printer-printed on best quality. I did not mess any up :) Let them air dry throughly.
5. Friend took transfers and carefully cut them out-take your time as this step is VERY important-I wanted no white where it did not belong.
6. Big day! Friend came to my house. I have a kitchen island on wheels-it is wood. I put a sheet doubled-2 thickness on it. We let iron heat throughly. We carefully laid transfer down. I used a ruler to figure how far from neck and to help center transfer-once again take your time.
7. Friend ironed them. First very lightly then with hard firm pressure. Was great using a smooth wood surface. We set shirt with transfer paper still on aside to cool then we did next shirt. When that one was done we peeled the paper off the cooled shirt. PERFECT! we never had to touch up iron anything and all edges were on good. Took us about 1 1/2 hours to iron on all transfers on 16 shirts.
8. Showed kids and then took pictures for you all to see.

It REALLY helped to have someone work with me. We still have a few more to do and then that is it for this trip.

THANKS TO ALL THE DESIGNERS!!!! :cheer2: :grouphug:

Bugdozer,
On the white "Happiest..." shirt did you use a regular transfer or dark transfer sheet?
Thanks!

Hi,
We used DARK transfer paper.

Hi,
Now a challange for the designers. We are doing the Magic behind the steam engines tour one morning in Magic Kingdom. Us 2 moms will wear our happiest celebration shirts. I think it would be neat for the boys to have something train related with Mickey or Walt to wear for this tour. They are 12 so not too kiddy and a border around it to make it easy to cut out. I know Walt was a train fanatic and even maybe a pic with him with a train if such a thing exsists. I will search google for pictures.
Thanks,
Cheryl

Will they print on transfer paper? I wasn't sure about that part.
Some will, some won't. But you know what...I just remembered that the transfer paper specifically says for INKJET printers and copiers aren't inkjet. But I was thinking Kinkos....and they have computer stations, too....so I'd just print it there. Best bet would be to call and ask, I guess, before planning on it!

On a related topic, I found some transfer paper that's made specifically to use in color copiers. It's loads cheaper (but is only for white/light shirts) but it's sold with a disclaimer to call your local copy center to ask before assuming they will use it....

I have a suggestion for all the designers. What if we were to put some keywords at the bottoms of our posts of designs so that when someone searches for a design it will be easier to find?

Example:

incredibles.jpg

Keywords: "Having an Incredible Time" the Incredibles Family, red, Incredibles logo

I have a reguest. My twins have worn out their Incredibles t-shirt that just had the Incredibles "I" on the front, like the background of this shirt. Is their a way to take the Incredible's off and just leave the incredibles symbol "I".

Their dad has already bought Incredible masks for them and would love for them to have a shirt too, to wear when they meet the Incredibles. Thanks for you help.

I am in desperate need of some help everyone!!!!!!!!!!! I have been reading this thread for the past few weeks and absolutely LOVE these designs!!!!!!!! There is one problem though...I cannot make any of the transfers since we do not have a printer and my husband will not let me buy one just to make these shirts!!!!!!!!!!! Sooooo, is there anyone out there that would be willing to make the transfers for me???? I would cover the cost of all materials and pay whatever you would think is fair for your time in making these!!!!!!!!! I would need them pretty quickly since we are leaving on October 2nd!!! Please PM me if you are interested!!!!!!! THANKS EVERYONE!!!

Have you tried the Public Library.
They have Internet & you can print out.
Stop by see if they can help you out.
Good Luck

Kate,

When you get the transfer paper, can you post the directions for each kind so that we know exactly how this paper must be used?

Thanks!

J&N's Mom I just got my AAA Diamond Parking pass in the mail. I think that our dates overlap though. someone posted that they have an expiration date. I do not see one on my pass it just says 2005 and has blackout dates on the back. We will be there Oct 14 - Oct 23rd and will be using our pass then. If our dates don't overlap I'd be happy to share.

Bugdozer,Your shirts look great.

To all of my fellow DDAs
, I must confess. What an ordeal!

First, my printer died. So I bought a new printer. And my CD died while I was installing the software. (yes, I think I need a new computer   ) So I went to the HP website and downloaded the drivers. YAY. :Pinkbounc :cheer2:

I print out the transfer. It is for a white shirt. I forgot to do mirror image. :earseek: At least I didn't iron it on the shirt.

I got it on the shirt (actually a onesie, it is the Playhouse Disney one for my grandson) It is adorable!!   I take pictures to upload. Can't find my usb cable to get the pictures off my camera! It is midnight and I have to go to work tomorrow. :rotfl: :rotfl: So I will have to show you the photo tomorrow. Did I tell you it is adorable

Good news... found my luggage behind the water heater. I can start packing!!! One week!!!! :hourglass

Woo Hoo!!!!

Bugdozer, your shirts look great! :cheer2:

I think I'm going to have to hit an AC Moore. I love the colors of your shirts! I went to Michaels today and they didn't have many colors (just blue, black, grey, red & white). Did they have a nice variety of sizes at AC Moore, too? I need kid size shirts and plus size shirts (3x). I'd love to be able to pick up all the shirts I need while I'm there.
