I do lots of service things for our community- two of them qualify for "give a day, get a Disney day" so, I signed my family up to do a "day" of service, which ours is fulfilled in 3 hours...
My question is...for people who are buying packages (hotel, tickets, transportation) from Disney, is it really THAT great of a deal to get a free day? I don't think that it is, considering- adding on an extra day of tickets is so cheap ($6 per person or something close to that). I having nothing wrong with donating my time for our community- my family does it a few times a year...but Why would I (or others doing packages through Disney) think that it's a 'great deal' to get a free day?
Is this ment more for locals? Or people who aren't already planning a week (or longer in our case) trip just to go to disney? I don't think Disney NEEDS to offer me free days for doing services for our community- and others would do them as well. I think it's a great idea to get more people doing things for their community and Disney is doing a good service...I'm just confused as to why people getting week or longer packages would think that this one day ticket is that great of a deal. I'm not trying to say anything is wrong, I just have questions about it. I don't know all the info. apparently.
