I've done the pick-a-pearl for probably five or six years now and I've always gotten nice size and pretty pearls by choosing the ugly oysters. Maybe next time, I'll just pick a normal one and see what I get.

The pick a pearl is such a cool thing to do and it's great you got it set into jewellery, mine is still in it's plastic bag

I love doing Pick a Pearl! I haven't done it for the last few trips and now I want to again after reading your experience. Someday I would love to get twins so I can have earrings made.

Ugh, that fish and crab stuff looks disgusting! I definitely wouldn't have liked the stuff you bought either because I don't like lime or gummy!

Nope, the heat wasn't getting to the belly dancer, that's just the way she always danced. Of course I was there to hear the music because I loved Mo Rockin. I am sad that they no longer play at WDW.

Your pearl sounds pretty with the yellowish tint - the Pick A Pearl sure does make for a great souvenir and it's a fun experience too! Some of those Japanese snacks . Oh, Hunter he kills me!

I'm so happy for your update...it's like a return to sanity after the "hullabaloo". Post Disney work load is a real downer. Sorry to hear that you had an extra dose of work to catch up on. Awe, we love Pick-a-Pearl too and always look for the ugliest oyster! So far we have had pretty good luck! Those "treats" from Japan were, uhm, interesting!

Fun update...I still haven't done' the Pick-a-Pearl...one of these days. Nice pearl.

Sorry...but none of those snacks looks appealing to me at all.

Great pictures around Japan and Morocco (the one of Hunter facing the fountain...that seems to be a traditional shot now for all men!).

I love the movie in France (I have found myself drifting too on those really hot days).

Can't wait to hear where dinner is.

I'm lost as well. Maybe I'm not on the Dis enough. I mostly follow a few TR's. I was thinking about doing a PTR but feel weird starting one with people leaving.

I love doing Pick A Pearl, and I always pick the ugliest as well and have had good results.

I feel totally lost as well! Recently, I have been just following all of my watched threads of yours and a few others TR's so I have missed what all has happened with the DIS. I was thinking of doing my first TR for our upcoming trip, but am now a little worried?!? Where can I find the information on what's going on? I'm saddened too because I have always enjoyed your PTR's and TR's.
