Disney dangled the visual weinee & Mickeystoontown gobbled it up! 10/26

Your plans sound so great! I'd want to see the look on everyone's faces when they arrive, too! There is nothing like arriving for the first time.

I need to get a new ticker. We will be there the last weekend in May (29-June 1st). We are spending pretty much all of it at DHS for SWW.

May 24: Hunter's birthday!!!!!!! We will be attending the House of Blues Gospel Brunch on his birthday! This is a first for us and I really haven't seen many reviews but we are excited to be giving it a try and to listen to awesome gospel music. After the brunch, we are headed to the Magic Kingdom and then later that eveing, we have dinner at Ohana which was Hunter's choice for his birthday dinner.
.

Hunter and I share a birthday! Very exciting, although I am WAY older, ha ha! I'll be at the next resort down....I chose Citricos for my birthday dinner! I'll keep my eyes out for you guys as I think we too will be at MK that night!

Love the Hoop de Doo pics, I would love to see that one again, I think Tim would like it. Hunter looked like he was having a blast with his washboard! :rockband:

Your plans look great!! So jealous you only have a week left! :yay:

Oh boy, one week until your next trip. Your plans sound wonderful! In case I don't get back here before you leave, have a great time. I know you will!

Looks like the Hoop De Doo Revue is an absolute blast. I'm glad you had such a good time!

Holy cow, that next trip is right around the corner! I hope you all have a fantastic time!

I will be at the same parks as you on both 5/31 and 6/5!!!! How exciting, I hope I run into you so I can say hi! I feel like I know you guys after reading this trip report. We will have our birthday pins on loud & proud!

Your plans sound wonderful! I so wish I had a wdw trip planned, but will continue to live vicariously through the TRs here!

I have never done HDDR and really want to but we have done the dining plan the last two times and it's two credits. Hunter loved that wash board haha! One of these trips I'll do it.

You're plans for this year look great and can't wait to hear about that trip after it is over.

I just spent two days reading your TR. Oh. My. Goodness. You remember so much - me, not so much! And I've been more than 20 times as well! I love your attention to detail, and I also love seeing things we haven't done yet! Last trip was just me and my adorable 16 year old DD (well, she had her birthday on our trip) with friends (just worked out that way that her one best friend was there at same resort). I'm taking her back first week of September before school starts just the two of us again - free dining, QS since we prefer counter service meals and do things just as we please, thank you very much! But still have two (YES two) lunches at Be Our Guest booked (hey, it's free).

I think you have an adorable family! Thanks for all the photos!

HDDR sounds like fun. I keep thinking we will try it next trip.(When ever that will be.) Can't wait to here about the Blues Brunch. I have heard both good and bad. The bad sounds like people who didn't know what they were doing. Can't wait for your trip.

Your plans look fantastic and I am so happy for you that your trip is almost here! That is awesome! I have no doubt that you will have a fantastic time - as always.

I honestly have never done a two week trip so I can't imagine what that's like. You must love making plans for such a long stay!

Happy Packing!

May 22: John works until 3:30 and I work until Noon. Hunter is out of school so he can help load things into the car and straighten up the house while waiting for John to get off. Drive until around Midnight and find a hotel for the night.

I am hoping us too! I have a work conference and hope to get home around 2-3 pm, load the car, finish straightening the house/wash clothes and when Keith gets home, hit the road!

May 23: Drive the rest of the way to Walt Disney World. I need to call the House of Blues ticket office and see what time they close for the eveing. We have brunch tickets that need to be picked up. If we get there in time to go to the box office at Downtown Disney, that's how we'll spend our evening.

I want to get to our resort around 2pm and head to DTD. My aunt and uncle will probably already have arrived. We have to load our military vouchers onto our MAgic Bands so I want to get that taken care of on Saturday night. I have reservations for The Boathouse! So excited about that one!!
May 24: Hunter's birthday!!!!!!! We will be attending the House of Blues Gospel Brunch on his birthday! This is a first for us and I really haven't seen many reviews but we are excited to be giving it a try and to listen to awesome gospel music. After the brunch, we are headed to the Magic Kingdom and then later that evening, we have dinner at Ohana which was Hunter's choice for his birthday dinner.

Our afternoon is the same!!! MK and Ohana, then back to MK.

May 25: Epcot day Lunch at Beaches & Cream which is a new restaurant for us. Dinner at Via Napoli.

May 26: Typhoon Lagoon day Lunch at either the water park or at the resort. Dinner at Olivia's. Possibly spend time at Disney Quest or Fantasia mini-golf. Anyone have a clue how to get from Olivia's to the Fantasia mini-golf?

I didn't read responses but I would bus to DHS and then boat or walk over to Swan/Dolphin!

.

Our paths have a few opportunities to cross! I am jealous you get two weeks though! HAHA

You leave right before we arrive! Sounds like a fun trip--I like how you've divided up the time between all the family being together and then being on their own. Have a wonderful trip!

Wow I haven't read your trip report in a long time, but I'm caught up now.Well actually I guess your trip report for this one is about over. I see you have 5 more days to leave and you will be at the most magical place on earth again! Your trip preview sounds like a lot of fun. I really enjoy reading all your reports and I have been reading your articles on Magical DIStractions. You are doing a great job on the articles. Hope you have another fun vacation !

I've been reading your trip report for a while but don't think I have commented before. I have really enjoyed it as you were there around the same time that I was planning our trip for this year, and your family seems like you have a lot of fun together. After seeing your upcoming plans, I realized that some of our plans overlap and we will be in the MK on the same evening of June 2nd and in the MK on June 5th. We will also be in the AK early afternoon on June 3rd. If I run into you, I can only hope that your husband is wearing his infamous t-shirt, so I can complement him on it! ;) We leave for our trip on May 29th and I can't believe I can now say that I leave for Disney World next week! Hope you have a great trip!

I remember meeting you and Lorelai now! That was the night that she had to tinkle so badly and it was cold as heck in the building.

That's right! It was FREEZING in there and we had just laughed our patooties off at Ethan who go his legs and one arm stuck in his t-shirt, with the other sticking straight out the top. I love impromptu Dis meets, I wish Lorelai hadn't been pulling me off so quickly, but it was great to meet you and your crazy family!

Your plans for Friday and beyond look fantastic, I think you all are balancing being together and separate very well! I can't wait to hear how Disney newbies feel after their trip. I hope you all have a magical vacation!

Oh and while Lacey and Jesse are away from East Tennessee, we will be there. That is where I am originally from, and we are going to visit my family this weekend.

I've been drag tailing around with this trip report and haven't had time to do a pre-trip report. So, I guess that I'll post my plans here. As I said, this trip is going to be a biggie! The gang will be John, Hunter, myself, Lacey, Jesse, Jesse's mother and father, two brothers, sister-in-law and a two year old little Princess. Jesse's family has never been to Walt Disney World (or any other real tourist destination) and I'm super excited to see how they like it. I'm also a bit nervous because, like I said, they haven't been anywhere touristy. Ya'll know me, I've been planning this trip since before we left the last trip (the one that I'm still writing about) and my 2015 WDW email folder is overloaded with dining confirmations and cancellations. There's still one ADR that I have made that I'm trying to change to a different time but we'll be fine if I have to leave it as it is. The itinerary looks like this:

May 22: John works until 3:30 and I work until Noon. Hunter is out of school so he can help load things into the car and straighten up the house while waiting for John to get off. Drive until around Midnight and find a hotel for the night.

May 23: Drive the rest of the way to Walt Disney World. I need to call the House of Blues ticket office and see what time they close for the eveing. We have brunch tickets that need to be picked up. If we get there in time to go to the box office at Downtown Disney, that's how we'll spend our evening.

May 27: This started out being a totally off day until dinner time. I can't have a true off day though so we are lazing around until after lunch when we go to Epcot for three fastpass choices. Dinner is at the Rainforest Cafe at Downtown Disney.

May 28: Hollywood Studios day with dinner at Sci-Fi.

May 29: Blizzard Beach day Lunch at Blizzard Beach, play a round of mini-golf at Winter Summerland and then dinner at T-Rex at Downtown Disney.

May 30: This is the day that the rest of the gang arrives. They think that they will start their drive on the evening of the 29th and arrive around lunch on the 30th. We have a breakfast reservation at Kona and will be back at the resort when they arrive. Jesse's older brother is the most excited about the trip and I want to see the expression on his face when they get out of their cars. We will all be going to dinner at Boma that evening.

Our plans are to mostly stick together every morning and then splinter off around lunch time. This is their vacation and our vacation and while we want to spend time together, we want to be considerate of one another's time too.

May 31: Epcot day We have two fastpasses together and one separate from the party with the two year old. For lunch, some are going to Akershus. Jesse and his older brother are going to eat counter service in Japan. Lacey is giong to stick with us. The party with the 2 year old may go back to the resort for a break but they aren't sure. The rest of us have dinner rservations at Coral Reef but are sitting at two different tables since we already had our ADR made prior to their deciding to go.

June 1: Hollywood Studios. Again, those with the 2 year old will separate from us for a while. We have Fastpasses for Tower of Terror. We are eating two counter service meals this day since none of the table service restaurants appealed to the rest. We will meet back up again to see Fantasmic.

June 2: This is our off day. Hunter is for sure going to Downtown Disney with some of them so that they can go to Disney Quest. Some may laze around the resort. Not really sure. We will all be gong to the 5:15 luau and then to the Magic Kingdom that evening.

June 3: Animal Kingdom day. Splitting up again and then meeting for lunch. Dinner is at Downtown Disney with all of us having reservations at different restaurants.

June 4: Magic Kingdom day. The plan is to stick together as long as we want. We have dinner reservations at Be Our Guest as does the party with the 2 year old. We will all go together while Lacey and the rest of the bunch go to the Polynesian for dinner at Ohana and Kona.

June 5: Originally, this was the day that everybody but John, Hunter and I would leave. But, for Lacey's birthday, we paid for them to stay one more day/night. While Jesse's family hits the road home, we head to the Magic Kingdom. Lunch is at Be Our Guest and dinner is at the Crystal Palace.

June 6: We leave our home away from home and tell our kiddos goodbye.

wow a lot of plans and your not to far off from leaving for the next trip. I wish I had a trip on the horizon to look forward too.

We love HDDR too and hope to do it again on our next trip. WOW travelling with that many people will be a challenge especially since so many are newbies. Good luck with that. Now how old is Hunter 17 or 18? Does he graduate next year?
