Disney dangled the visual weinee & Mickeystoontown gobbled it up! 10/26

I love school bread and I completely forgot to get me one on our trip. While we were in Norway the kids we playing Agent P and the youngest forgot her pressed penny n Mexico and I had to run back to Mexico to get another and I just forgot. The bad thing about Epcot is there are so many good places to eat and so many places to get a good snack. I never can decide if I want to sit and eat a meal or snack around the world. This trip we had sit down lunches because it was a nice break from the heat. Hope your mom gets a good report from the doctor. Im keeping her in my prayers.

Snacking around the world DOES sound pretty good! What a good Mama going back adn getting the pressed penny! That's what we do too...get out of the heat at lunch time.

Thanks for the prayers!

Congrats on booking your next trip. My DH is coming home today from his 2 week hitch so hopefully we can decide what we are doing next year.

Maybe our trips will overlap again and we can say more than just a few words to each other.

Hi Lisa! Yay for booking your next trip!!!! :cheer2: Hope the Dr can figure out what's causing your mother's dizziness. My grandmother has issues with her inner ear, which causes her to be dizzy. She gets it every once in a while. My mom has had it a few times & even I have had it once (so they think). Wonder if it's hereditary?! :scratchin Anyways. Hope they get to the bottom of it. Looking forward to the next update when you have the time!! :wave2:

It's nice knowing that the trip is booked! Just gotta keep saving money to pay for it.

Did your inner problems cause dizziness and nausea? That's her problem.

I forgot to comment on your mom's health. WOOT on the good results but bummer on the dizziness. I really hope you get some answers on that since i know how debilitating that can be. Our niece has been suffering for close to a year now to the point where she is on un-paid leave and they still have to put their lil one in daycare for fear of dropping her :sad2:

Thank you! We're waiting to hear about when she can get in to see the ENT. Hopefully, soon! Oh my gracious! That's horrible!

I hope you get answers on Mama's dizzyness quickly! Prayers for her and you!

Yay you booked!!!! So exciting hearing everyone book today!!

We do too! Thank you so much for the prayers!

And you're booked too!

As always, Hunter cracks me up - those pics of him and the Norweigan troll had me giggling out loud at work :lmao:

If you are like me, you can use those giggles at work.

I'm glad you got to try something new with the the school bread. I'm sorry it didn't live up to the hype. I also ate one last week and it didn't taste like I remember. I used to think school bread was one of the best WDW snacks ever, but what I had last week was bland so not sure if they changed the recipe or my taste buds have changed. :confused3

I wonder if they changed the recipe too because everybody described it in a different way than they served it to me.

My "try something new" snack this past trip was a White Rabbit cake cup from the Cheshire Cafe. It was yellow cake with buttercream frosting in a cup with white chocolate rabbit ears and a candy flower on top. It was very tasty if you have a sweet tooth (which I totally do, much to my thighs and behind's chagrin).

I have seen pictures ot the cake cups. They looked good and now you are saying that they are good. Puttin' it on my list.

I'm so glad we got to meet! I knew it was you when I spotted you, because ya'll were looking at the pretty flowers and I know you love gardening! :flower3: Girl, your wavy bangs ain't got nuttin' on my curly/frizzy birds' nest hair! You look lovely in the picture as you always do (well...except maybe for that Hannibal picture you posted in one of your past TRs). ;) Seriously, humidity and my hair are not friends!

Me too! If you hadn't called my name, I'd have just kept on walking. I'm such a dummy like that. When I looked at the picture, I thought that your curls were really cute. If only mine would curl and not just get all wavy. Remember that you mentioned the Hannibal picture 'cause I have that memory coming up in another update.
You recall correctly, we were on our way to use our Soarin' FPs. (speaking of FPs how did you like the new FP process?)

I hope our paths cross again sometime, would enjoy spending more time with ya'll chatting!

I'll continue to keep your Mama in my prayers.

Hopefully, they will! Thank you for the prayers!

I haven’t seen frozen either.

YET.

It's nice to hear that I'm not the only one that hasn't see it.

YET. ;)

LOL. I drive like John. I notice everything around me too. Vinny says I am too observant.
The drive along looks nice.
WOW! Cheap gas. We saw $4.04 yesterday.
The traffic looks like everyday traffic here. LOL
Warm day there on your drive.
LOL at Café Risque.
Does Hunter not drive?
The twistee treat stand is cute.
Love the shirt he got for his birthday.
Oh how I love the Disney smell. Okay, now I want Walmarts detergent for the smell. LOL
Love the pics around CBR. One day I will stay there.
Too bad you did not see the entertainment at Boardwalk. We saw several of them in December. Why didn’t you go across the way and go to Beaches & Cream for dinner? That is delicious.
Love “The Shining”. Now I want to go there just to see the axe.
I love resort tours.
We just cannot get a good meal at ‘Ohana. Glad you did.
WOW! Hunter looked just like the statue. ROTF.
Living With the Land is one of our favorites also.
I try to get pics in the beginning of the ride too and fail miserably.
I would love to work in the greenhouse.
I agree about the Behind the Seeds Tour. But I am not a little kid and I got to release ladybugs. LOL. The cucumbers were good.
Sissy here. I will not do the orange side as an ambulance will come up to get from my vertigo I get sometimes.
Nice video of Mission Space.
Looks like a good time in Mexico.
I liked Frozen but love the music. I have caught it twice now on Starz.
That church is really small.
I have never had anything form that bakery. I have heard mixed reviews for the school bread.
I am caught up. Woo-hoo!

I'm with you on the school bread. I don't like coconut for one, so that makes a big reason I am not a fan. The rest was just ok, if they made it without coconut I could probably stand it a little more.

Getting caught up! Very busy here 8 days until we are at Disney! Eek! And lots of extra work at my JOB, sigh. Praying they find and fix what is ailing your Mama! I am so enjoying this TR. We are going to try the school bread And the Troll horn this time. Your report has put more to do's on our list. Thanks!

Oh my goodness! Your trip is sooooo close!

Of course, there's always a ton of work to get done and the boss seems to throw more at you when they know you are leaving.

Thank you for the prayers!

I hope that you enjoy the school bread and troll horn. The troll horn was better than the bread in our opinion.

The fiddle in the church is beautiful! I think we skipped the church in Norway last year and I did not see it. I'll have to take a trip into it in December. I do like school bread. ;) However, I do agree with a pp on the fact that the recipe has changed. I noticed it a couple of years ago. There is more cinnamon or something in it now and about half of the filling. It used to be loaded with the filling. I am going to be paying more attention to Norway next time we go. I got my DNA done and apparently I am 17% Scandinavian and had no clue at all. :lmao:

Isn't it beautiful!?! Hunter loved it and that's why I took the picture. He plays the viola in the school orchestra.

The filling was definitely lacking. Just a little dab and the bread was drier that I expected. How cool tha tyou have Scandinavian in your ancestry.

:thumbsup2 on the dismeet.

It was a great meet!

There is nothing wrong with your hair in that pic. Ya'll look great! When I get in that humidity I end up looking like I stuck my finger in a light socket! :scared1:

My stupid hair. It gets all wavy and I end up messing with my bands until I look like a drowned rat.

Hope your mom's appt went well this morning & that y'all were able to get some answers.

And YAY! for booking your 2015 package! :dance3: I did the same tonight for our DLR trip next year. So excited! :cool1:

Thank you! She is waiting to see the ENT next.

Yay for you too! Disneyland here they come!

Those pictures of Hunter with the troll are hilarious. He seems like the kind of kid I love to have in my classroom. I love a student with a great sense of humor!

His teachers love him. He's one of those kids who will do pretty much anything for a laugh and volunteers to help others. He has actually done stand-up comedy in class when they had free time.

You sound like me at the end there - I never notice when people are calling to me! :rotfl2: Sometimes I don't even notice when people are right in front of me, talking to me.

Glad to know that I'm not the only one. It's very rare that I see somebody at first glance. They usually have to say something to me first.

A lurker popping up with an opinion on school bread. ;)

I fell in love with it so much that I have tried to find a bakery in Oregon that makes it. No such luck. But, unlike yours, mine was freshly made, slightly warm, and heavenly! Of course I am one of those fools who can only take so much sugar at a time. For instance, I once tried one of those Hostess Snowball things, and got sick to my stomach. So I may not be a good judge of sweets. ;)

Love your reports! Your updates always make my day.

Please comeout and play more! My school bread was not that fresh and it was definitely not warm. Maybe if it were warm, it would have been better. Oh no, I can NOT eat a Hostess snowball. Too much sweet on sweet on sweet. YUCK!

Good gosh Scott! You were reading like a madman to get caught up!

I'm with you on the school bread. I don't like coconut for one, so that makes a big reason I am not a fan. The rest was just ok, if they made it without coconut I could probably stand it a little more.

It wasn't the coconut that bothered me. It was the bread part itself. Just okay, not great.

School bread - meh. Rice Cream? Yes, Please!!

Okay, so where did you get the rice cream? I have a dairy allergy but it sounds like something I'd try.

We enjoy Frozen but I do have a 4 year old. I will say I am luckier than others as in we do not watch it as much as others do. We watch it maybe once a month.

I have never tried the school bread and it was on my list of things to try this trip but maybe not now. I might just still with Karmel Kuche and Bounglarie Passtire (sp?) for my snack credits!

Rice Cream is at the Norway bakery also. Same place as the (meh) school bread. It is a thick rice pudding with a strawberry puree topping. So, so good! It's a must have for my daughter and I every time we venture into Epcot (which is pretty much every evening when we stay at Beach Club). Not sure with your dairy allergy, but maybe try a bite or two and see how you do.

Just catching up on your TR and I have to laugh since the Sprite won. :rotfl2:
Who would have thought that coming out of a bakery it would be the Sprite that gets the A+ rating! I really got a chuckle out of that one.

As far as the belly dancer goes it seems men have a disablity when it comes to female flesh. They tend to lose their brain cells and therfore the dancer probally did not need any talent LOL!!!! So some skin and the men probally thought she was the best dancer they ever seen!

Ok, took me a while but I'm all caught up.
Ahhh what a gorgeous resort! I loved all your pictures.
John's 100% finest cotton shirt is such a funny story! I'm glad he wore it proudly again. :thumbsup2
I haven't eaten at 'Ohana. Some day... but I'm a picky eater and their food scares me. :rotfl2: Glad you got our reservation and then thoroughly enjoyed it.
Sounds like a smooth transition to your new room, and YAY for Epcot! We did (and loved) the Behind the Seeds tour. We're also bg LWTL fans too.

Loved your Mission Space video!
Glad you waited out the rain indoors. I've never tried school bread, I really have no desire to though!

Phew I'm finally caught up after a month off the DIS due to my trip, jet lag etc etc!

We had so many snacks this trip that were so called "must dos" which we really didn't like so I can sympathise with the school bread. I just hope you made it to Karamel Kuche during your trip :thumbsup2

I'm glad John recovered quickly and you managed yo dodge most of the rain.

So glad to hear about your Mama's MRI results. Such good news!!:goodvibes

The Mexico pavilion is one of our favorites in the WS. I'm glad you were able to spend some time there! Cute picture of Hunter with Donald.

I never had any desire to watch Frozen either. The trailer for the movie never appealed to me so I put it off watching it. Or maybe it was because of all the hype. However, I finally did get around to watching it a couple months ago and I really liked it especially the music.:thumbsup2

Sorry you didn't like the school bread. It's been on my list of snacks to try for a while but for some reason haven't got around to it.:confused3

Yay! for booking your next trip!:cool1: I'm thinking about booking ours really soon! I'm so excited that we are finally heading back!:dance3:

Hi Lisa! Hope things with everyone are getting better! As for my inner ear experience, I definitely had lots of dizziness! Same with my grandmom. I never had any nausea though. Hope she feels better and figures it out!

Well i can't possibly avoid helping a fellow foody with dietary limitations!! John needs to avoid dairy and here's a link to a list of food deemed "dairy-free"

http://www.glutenfreedairyfreewdw.com/wp-content/uploads/2013/12/WDW-DairyFree.pdf

Comes from this site that i've been studying!!

http://www.glutenfreedairyfreewdw.com/dining-resources/reference-sheets/

Hope that helps :thumbsup2

Ooooooh Thank You! I'm going to check that out!

Not a frozen fan at all, tangled is way way better.

I loved Tangled! I guess that I'll eventually break down and watch Frozen.

I'll probably have Hunter borrow Frozen from his girlfriend so I can watch it. Don't know when that will be though because I've been a sewing fiend lately.

The school bread simply wasn't what I had envisioned it to be. It's probably my fault for building it up in my mind to be so good.

I don't even remember seeing it there in the case. I'll have to make sure we stop there next trip. Oh I can eat the dairy, I just pay for it later if I eat too much.

Just catching up on your TR and I have to laugh since the Sprite won. :rotfl2:

Isn't it crazy that the Sprite was the best thing that we walked away with?

Yep, the guys were standing around ogling the belly dancer. I bet that they really did think she was incredible.

Ok, took me a while but I'm all caught up.
Ahhh what a gorgeous resort! I loved all your pictures.

We love the tropical feeling of the CBR. Whenever we think about staying somewhere else, John just shakes his head no. He loves the beaches there.

John's 100% finest cotton shirt is such a funny story! I'm glad he wore it proudly again. :thumbsup2

Isn't that the best shirt you have ever seen?

I haven't eaten at 'Ohana. Some day... but I'm a picky eater and their food scares me. :rotfl2: Glad you got our reservation and then thoroughly enjoyed it.

I'm a pretty picky eater and Hunter is a super picky eater and we both like Ohana.

Sounds like a smooth transition to your new room, and YAY for Epcot! We did (and loved) the Behind the Seeds tour. We're also bg LWTL fans too.

I was worried about having to change rooms but it wasn't as bad as I thought it would be. I love the Behind the Seeds tour!

Loved your Mission Space video!

Thanks!

Glad you waited out the rain indoors. I've never tried school bread, I really have no desire to though!

I'm glad that we were indoors when the storm hit because I heard that it was really bad.

Welcome back! We didn't actually make it to Karamel Kuche this trip but have in the past. I've never met a snack there that I didn't like.

So glad to hear about your Mama's MRI results. Such good news!!:goodvibes

She is supposed to go to the ENT on the 6th and we'll see what they say. She's feeling a lot better now.

The Mexico pavilion is one of our favorites in the WS. I'm glad you were able to spend some time there! Cute picture of Hunter with Donald.

We enjoy Mexico too. Lots of things to look at.

I never had any desire to watch Frozen either. The trailer for the movie never appealed to me so I put it off watching it. Or maybe it was because of all the hype. However, I finally did get around to watching it a couple months ago and I really liked it especially the music.:thumbsup2

I'll get around to watching it one day but I don't know when.

Sorry you didn't like the school bread. It's been on my list of snacks to try for a while but for some reason haven't got around to it.:confused3

It took us years to getting around to trying the school bread and it will probably be years before we try it again.

Yay! for booking your next trip!:cool1: I'm thinking about booking ours really soon! I'm so excited that we are finally heading back!:dance3:

Oh yeah! Do you know what your dates will be?

:thumbsup2

Hi Lisa! Hope things with everyone are getting better! As for my inner ear experience, I definitely had lots of dizziness! Same with my grandmom. I never had any nausea though. Hope she feels better and figures it out!

Mama is feeling much better. There's still some dizziness but she's better. Her ENT doctor appointment is on the 6th so we'll hopefully know something more after he's seen her.
