Disney Cruise Wedding and MK wedding shoot question

I'm finding so many mixed answers on the web for this. I know you can have a Magic Kingdom shoot still, if you decide to be a Disney cruise bride, which for us is looking much more cost efficient. We are thinking to have our own photographer for the Disney cruise wedding BUT could we also have her do our Magic Kingdom shoot or are we obligated to only use Disney photography.

I hear so many mixed reviews on Disney photography that I would much rather just use our photographer. I could've sworn I saw that the have recently reversed the rule and are letting "outside" photographers now be able to do this but you get charged a fee. But now I can't seem to find that info to reread it to see if it would apply to what we want to do.

Anyway so sum up my confusion.. can we have our own photographer for the magic kingdom shoot or do we have to use Disney?

Thanks all :) trying to get as much info as we can, Disney isn't too helpful till you are closer to the date to book and we aren't at this point but planning is key!

The Magic Kingdom photo shoot you see with bridal attire takes place before the park opens, which means that only Disney Fine Art Photography is allowed to do it. You can take your photographer in during regular park hours, and the rules on dress appear to have relaxed somewhat recently, but you would of course have thousands of other guests in your photos.

Thanks! Your always so helpful on this wedding portion of the boards! :) I might just have to suck it up and use the Disney photography then, but that's ok! Thanks!!

How much is it again for just the magic kingdom shoot?

Oh actually I see it says $1700 for just an MK shoot. Hope I was looking on the right site. Trying to get a idea of a budget together for the different options. The cruise is looking most affordable for sure.
