Just finally getting around to checking in. MM2000, your pieces look great so far! Definitely don't rush on the Mickeys! It will take me a couple of days to sort through everything anyway, so don't worry!

PinballFamily, we can definitely meet up at some point for you to give me your things. Don't waste money on postage!!!

How is everyone else doing? I'm trudging along!! The character groups are giving me the hardest time!!! Does anyone have a good link for pirate or nautical character clipart? I've looked at a bunch of the usual sites, but haven't found anything I really like yet.

Are there certain characters you are looking for? I have several coloring books that I could send the scanned pages to you if you would like, but if you give me a couple of specific ones, I can see if I have any with them on it.

It shouldn't be a huge issue, I just know those little pieces are going to take some time to get together.

Are the tags okay as they are? I will add ribbon and/or an eyelet. I think I'll wrap the mats with ribbon and pop up a hibiscus on the ribbon itself.

I mailed the last group today. I didnt include extra postage . There should be enough with the big box to cover this as well. If not, let me know and I will send more.

morgansmom - The tags look fine. I really like the flower. The color groups don't tend to be embellished as much because they're meant to be fairly generic pieces.

kkbeaton2 - I will take any characters at this point!!! I didn't think they would end up being so frustrating for me.

Group O1 (Colors):

The corners are tiny rounded glass bits.

Group P1 (DCL General):

The letters of the header are puffed up with heat and are 3D. Those are tiny pom-poms in the header on the felt strips and on the corners of the photo mats. ETA: (This is the correct photo - the earlier one was of an earlier (not good enough!) topper!)

So cute! I'm mostly done with 2 groups and I'm still plugging away at my Pirate Mickey. I'll most likely mail around the 15th, unless I somehow get some late night scrapping in.

Okay, couple questions and a status update...

Here is my "Pirate Mesh" for Group G. Colors are wonky, but they look much better in person. I suck at detailing, so I'll let you add your own to the maps.

1. Now, what should I make to go with it?
2. And, before I cut another 7 of them, do you like the white background or should I use gray?

I usually use dark paper when scrapping pirate stuff, so I like the white background as it stands out.

Great, two different answers! How about I send a gray background piece and you can use it or not?

The background is all one piece, all the little colored pieces are separate. I did not create it, I just moved things around and kind of Mickey-ized it.

I had a thought (in the shower, I think best in the shower ), how about a journal box that is a pirate flag like the one on the mesh, but bigger and no Mickey head.

Here's my update.....

For group H, I'm changing from beach to sailor Donald and he's in process. I never was able to find beachy donald-ish paper I was happy with

For group P1, I did a "relax" theme in leiu of the spa. I thought it would be more versatile for everyone. I did title letters - "RELAX" and photo mats. That group is done.

For group R - Mt. Rustmore is still in progress.

I will have everything completed and mailed by Tuesday. We leave Wednesday for a day at the World and a 3-day cruise.

Sounds great! Although our cruise is a year (and a week!) off, we have little hope of being able to afford to visit the spa - and were just talking about that the other day! "Relax" is a perfect sentiment and we'll love your elements!
