Where does everyone get all the cute Disney Cruise scrapbook items? I looked briefly onboard, but I was with my husband (who does not like to shop), so it was a very quick look!! I've seen lots of cute ideas, but I've never seen the embellishments that I'm seeing. For instance, cut outs, stickers of the ships, as well as Mickey and Minnie with captain hats/outfits on. I hope I didn't miss them on board, because I know you can't purchase them anywhere else!

Thanks
Tiffany

We just got off the Wonder yesterday. I bought two scrapbooking kids onboard (one also at WDW). I haven't opened the packets, but I think one is about excursions the ships offer and ports of call. One seems to be more about the ships.
We had five families going and they'll all send me a CD of their pics, so I could be narrowing down pictures from the thousands!

Do you think I could hire your scrapbooking kids to come and do my albums? I'm so far behind it will take years to catch up:lmao: :lmao:

I bought my scrapbook kits on board and one of kits from WDW had some cruise stuff in it.

Yes they have cruise specific albums on board. The one I bought last year has a Mickey and the cruise ship with 2007 poped up...similiar to the pop-up embellished general disney ones you can find in Michaels and AC Moore and such. I believe it was around 30 dollars...it came with some generic paper, some with disney patterns shadowed on it, maybe 10 page protectors and it is expandable..which I had to definately do!!!! Over 400 scrapable pics weren't fitting in that scrapbook with out book expanders!

As far as disney cruise stuff...I have found A LOT...actually most everything I have bought has been from E-Bay...just search ebay with scrapbooking disney cruise line in the search line...have fun!

By the way, there are some VERY generous DISers out there who might be willing to purchase an album for someone who didn't while on board..never hurts to ask. Good luck and have fun! To me there is nothing better to scrap than my family at Disney!

I've ordered some really cute paper piecing on ebay. Do a search for "Scrapbooking paper piecing Disney". I like the ebayer Gina's Treasure Chest Store. Some people also make premade pages.

Thanks...I figured that they had to have albums but I wanted to make sure. Anyone know if they sell BIG FIGS on the ships? My DH really wants to get one of those.

Just a thought/idea scrapbookers should keep in mind...

Take a blank scrapbook page and pen to dinner to have your table mates and servers sign. You *will* have photos of them...it's nice to have an autograph to go with the pix. Put the pix on the pages signed.

Do the same for other cast members - cabin steward, DJs, etc.

OOHHH, nice idea. I'm already bringing a 12x12 scrapbook page that I'm going to leave at Guest Services so the characters can sign it. Now I'm going to have to bring something for the servers to sign as well. Thanks for the tip.

Great idea about your tablemates and servers autographs!! Love that!! I got most of my scrapbooking stuff for the cruise at scrapbook stores, I got regular beach stuff, Disney stuff, and just matched up paper to pictures for most themes.:goodvibes

I am going to do this to! 12x12 Page for the servers and to leave at the desk. Plus I think I'll go to Michaels or JoAnn's and get a Photo Matt... I took 12X12 scrapbook pages with me to the hospital when I had my kids and they stamed their feet wherever I wanted on the page, WAY CUTE (just in case anyone is pg or planning on more kids, I thought I'd share :) )

I have gotten a lot of my graphics from the "creative disigns" section of disboards (in the Just for Fun part.) I used the designs as magnetic door signs and now that the cruise is over :sad2: , I'm using them for scrapbooking. Many are personalized. All I need to do now is put some embellishments on and I'm good to go.

Here are a few:

I always keep loads of stuff from our vacations and keep them in a folder. This year, I am going to (attempt to ;) ) make a "proper" scrapbook, so I'll be looking for stuff at WDW, on the ship and then at DL. :goodvibes

I have already purchased some items off ebay - mostly Jolee's and EK Success embellishments. :)

I'll have to take a look at the Creative Forum to see if I can get a clue as to what I should do once I get home with my album and all the stuff I've collected from our vacation!

I went to Guest Services toward the end of the cruise and they had really cute luggage tags (lots of different characters). I just added ribbon! Cute and free! ;)
I also took a "plastic envelope" to keep all of the Navigators in, as well as everything else we collect, so nothing ended up wrinkled, etc. I bought the DCL album but needed more pages once I got home and started working on it.
I was able to buy more "post bound' pages at Michael's or Joanne's.
My Dad passed away 2 years after our cruise and that was our last big trip with him. My DC album is priceless!
