Disney Cruise Line scrapbook pictures anyone mind sharing?

I'd LOVE  to share my DCL scrapbook pages...but someone is going to have to let me know how to post them... :guilty:

Tell me how and I'll get them out there.

I'm still working on pages from our 3 day last month, but here is what I have so far... Bear in mind, these were the FIRST EVER pages that I had done. I only started scrapping 3 weeks ago!

Those pages are lovely! What a great job you've done - keep up the good work! I myself am still scrapping our cruise from May, and of course being new DVC members we have March and July trips planned and I will have to start on a new book - lots of scrapping to do!

Bubbasmom99 - Great pages! What font did you use on the Bon Voyage page? I've been looking for one like that.

ScrapperJill - You post them on another site (2 peas, etc..) and then put it here with "
"

I have one page of deck layouts that I've received a lot of compliments on. If I can get my upstairs cleaned fo rtomorrow's company, I'll post it tonight (with any others that seem overly original).

Please do post them--- even if you don't think they're very original! :jumping4: As you can see from my countdown, it won't be long before we board the Magic and your pages may give me some ideas for pictures to take :cloud9: Isn't it funny how we scrapbookers take the pictures to suit a page... not necessarily make the page suit the pictures???

Ok bubbasmom - for those being your first pages ever - THEY ARE AWESOME!!!!! And aren't the Bahama Mama's on board great!!??!!!! I figured out how to make them when I got home so they tasted just like the ones on board. (sorry to go off topic but I couldn't resist) :D

I have 40 pages done of our 2003 Cruise (which I'm still working on) but I'm having problems posting. As soon as I get some more time to mess with it I will. I'm very interested in seeing others as well.

Well, you won't find unique photo ideas in mine. Most of them are generic of the ship. I lost over a hundred photos on my card. Most of my photos were supplied by fellow DISers.

I have two BIG albums for our last 7 day cruise but they are 12 x 12 and don't scan well and the digital pics DH took of a couple pages (which I then emailed because I can't figure out to post them anywhere!) didn't do them justice.

My suggestion is take the pictures you'd take anyway, take extras, keep your camera with you to take pictures that happen, and then snap those things that can add to the page.

For instance the signage is awesome as is the artwork. I took lots of those sorts of shots and worked them in to the pages. And don't forget to take your camera to dinner! Not just the diningrooms, your servers, and the special events but shoot the food too! Yes, I really mean it! We even would take photos of some of the bottles of wine so we could remember labels, etc. And I did my best to jot down what everyone had in my passporter right after dinner. Only took a moment or two but those made some really cool layouts.

Here's my DCL album (actually 2 of them, I took so many photos!)

I did those albums almost three years ago. Actually, it was my second SB album I had ever done and it's the album that made me fall in love with scrapbooking!

Oh, I wish I could go on a Disney cruise!! What awesome LOs. I too love the font and will check out website listed. The first week in December I went on a 5 day cruise show and ship inspections. I lunch on the Holland Osterdam and Caribbean Princess plus dinner on MSCs Oprea. I took pictures of the food, the cabins, the pools, the closets and most important.........the BATHROOM!! When we went to POR in June, I took pictures of the shower curtain b/c I thought it was so cute. The entire family thought I was nuts!! :earseek:

Joy, those are great first pages! Love the font, too :D

Timon, after seeing your amazing albums, I'm going to have to go on another cruise. There are so many things I DIDN'T take pictures of!

Thanks for sharing. When I get some pages done, I will post, too.

Jeanne

TIMON--- how did you do your room number on your page showing your cabin? From the picture, it looks like a "lumpy" embellishment. I love it! Tell all! How can I do one of those for myself?? :earboy2:

I was thinking exactly the same thing!!!! What great pages.

MamaCrush,

I took a very close up photo of my door and then cut it out and pasted it! Voila!
No tricks! You can do it too! :)

These are all awesome ideas. I am not a computer person so if I can get my husband to sit down long enough this weekend I will get him to figure out how to get my pages online for all to see. I am finishing up the Monday of our May 2004 cruise right now. Does anyone have any ideas for the formal night picture? We had it taken with Goofy and its one of the 8X10's so there is not a lot of room for much more, but I do not like just a plain page. Oh, I am working on a 12X12 size so there is a little room I guess.

This is a great chat. I hope more people will add their scrapbook pages of the cruises on here. I have gotten so many great ideas.
