I did it. I booked one of the last things left on my list of Disney to dos. I booked a cruise for my parents, my brother and I for Dec 2009. We're on the Disney Magic as it does the Western Carribbean cruise. I can't believe in a year or so I'll be fulfilling a dream come true. I hope it lives up the hype I've been building up for it. LOL

I'll be on this board so often for sooooo many tips.

 :yay: :dance3: :cheer2:

Congratulations!!!
I too never though I would be going on a disney cruise or stay at the poly in my lifetime, But in 12 days I will be doing both on a land and sea vacation!

I hope your vacation is a trip of a lifetime :)

Are you on the Dec 7 Wonder? Leaving in a week cannot wait.:cool1:

Hmmmm....I got that pin post card in the mail but it looks like I can't book a room for prior to our cruise next year. It's not one of the dates....but I can book one after. I think we want to go home right after the cruise though... we have to go back to work!! (The week before Christmas is always a good time to be at work. ;) hehehe )

I thought we might stay a couple of days before the ship leaves port so that 1. we're sure to be in Orlando and not trapped up here because of weather and 2. It's DISNEY!!

Maybe I'll call anyway and see what they say.

Congrats on your booking!!!!!!!

You will not be dissappointed... we have now done the eastern and western and are booked on to the Transatlantic in 2010. They are not cheap vactions but well worth every single penny.
They only thing I'll warn you of is that they are very addictive:cool1:

Enjoy.....

Oooooooooh.... I had been thinking of the Transatlantic but I didn't think a 2 week cruise would be the right one to take for my first cruise ever. That sounds like so much fun though.

I wanted to go on the cruise in December because of Christmas decorations. I really wanted to cruise over Christmas but the prices were double. :(

You are doing it right. The western was our first cruise and I prefered it over the eastern. You will love Castaway Cay and be prepared for some outstanding shows and meals. I cannot say enough positive things about it.

Congratulations on booking your cruise! :cheer2: We did the Western cruise in Feb '08, and it was our best ever family vacation. There is always something fun to do on the ship, and the ports are great. I hope you all have a fantastic time! :thumbsup2

Congrats. You'll love it on the ship.
Head over to the cruise forum to see if there is a thread with folks who'll be on the Magic with you.
