Disney Cruise Brides!!! Part Deux!!

My wedding is during the August 31- Sept 5, 2015 cruise. So it's looking like it will be Sept 2nd. I'm not sure how to go about a PJ but I'm sure I'll figure it out lol. I saw your invites in your PJ. They are amazing!!:)

Thats going to be a really nice cruise and it shouldn't be too crowded like the June and July sailings the kids will all be back at school so thats a bonus :yay: and its a great place to just put your thoughts colors, favors etc mine has been helping me keep organized lol and thank you! those things took me foreve but I was happy with how they came out and I have alot of other DIY projects I'm thinking of lol

Jodi, I just checked out your PJ! Loved the save the dates, so unique. I loved reading through your journey. It makes me want to start my own! I really enjoy this forum, it's so helpful.

Hey everyone! We are doing a vow renewal on the magic in Jan 2015. We have went through a really rough few years and our wedding sucked so looking for a fresh start and have the wedding of my dreams! Where do they have the ceremonies on the ship? What does everyone do for photos?

I am just starting my favors and I am doing tote bags, tumbler cups, sunscreen, chapstick hand santizer soaps and a few other things too hope that helps :thumbsup2

My photographer had to back out. :(:( do you ladies have any suggestions on Florida based options? Or even past brides, who you used? I'm pricing some other local photographers (canada) but I'd like to have cost effective and amazing photos! Thanks:)

Im a newbie to this site. Took me forever to find you ladies!! Im getting married on castaway cay. Sailing out 2/23/15 on the Dream. I cant flipping wait. DF & I have never been to anything Disney so this is going to be new for my whole family. I have 3 kids (dss11, dd4, dd2) they will all be a year older when we go besides my dd2.

Anywhos.... my biggest concern is photography atm. I can NOT afford to bring my own and Im not pleased with what Ive see online with DCL photography company. :( just bringing my own DSLR and giving a family member a crash course I guess.

Im going to try to figure our where to do a personal journal on this thing. lol... cant wait to get to know all you ladies!

Hello there! I am also new to this forum, though it doesn't feel like it after reading through both threads.

DF decided to ask me to marry him after meeting my family and spending a wonderful week together at Animal Kingdom Lodge last fall. We decided to get married on the Disney Dream on the 4/10/15 sailing since we both love all things nautical (we surf and scuba out here in California).

Currently, we have a wedding date reserved for Castaway Cay, primarily so that our guests could enjoy excursions of their choice in Nassau. We found so many beautiful pictures of weddings on the island (especially Freckledginger's :)). Then we found videos posted of weddings both on the island and on board. The videos made me wonder about the setting (loud shrieks from children swimming, etc.). I was wondering what other brides/cruisers thought about the benefit of privacy afforded by the onboard venues versus the itinerary freedom offered through marrying on Castaway Cay.

I look forward to sharing ideas with you all over the next year.

Cheers,
Ashley

Congrats on your wedding! Also awesome that another Cali bride is getting married on a Disney Cruise :goodvibes in my Opinion I am not a huge fan of the Castway Cay weddings purely for the privacy! I had orginally been scheduled on Castway Cay but like your self I watched videos and it seemed like everyone was watching you and its right next to the family beach and some pictures I have seen have background people in them which I am not a fan of but i think Castway is purely a prefence choice you will still get amazing shoots just your photographer will have to be more crafty to avoid the people, what I am doing is married on the boat and then on the Castway Cay day right when we dock we will take pictures for an hour in full wedding ger and then we still have the whole day to enjoy Castway (which is the best port!) you can look at my PJ the link is in my signature I posted some pros and cons about it hope you start a PJ soon would love to follow along its a great way to get ideas :thumbsup2

These are my thoughts exactly. ^^^
We've been to CC a few times and watched weddings .. Although they're beautiful, the background shots of people and the noise put me off. I'm not one for being centre of attention either, so having all eyes on me is not something I relish.

If you have a good photographer, especially one that knows the island, you'll do great I'm sure, but doing what Melissa is doing above, seems a perfect solution to me (and it's cheaper!)

116 days until our wedding cruise and just 19 days until we're on the Magic for pre-wedding checks!!
