Looks like I am the only one who used a travel agent but hey it is free for you and your guests so I say why not!! lol

I say use a travel agent (if you want) b/c they get back to them much faster AND they let me book earlier out then if I called on my own! I was booked at 19 months out!

My mom's talking me into getting a travel agent, and I'd like to do so ASAP! Now, she read through MOST of this thread and mentioned a former DCL bride/ travel agent named Lisa- if anybody has her information, could you please PM it to me? Any other fantastic travel agents anybody used would be useful, too Thanks!

Hi everyone! Welcome back Brian! We are on our drive home too. We had a great wedding. Our photographer, Lee, was wonderful. We weren't impressed with tom though. He forgot my flowers and the ringbearers pillow and rings! Then he also never got our cake and cake topped to dinner! Besides those things though everyone and everything was beautiful!

Lisa has her entire wedding PJ and TR posted on here. It gives you an incredible amount of information plus she has her video posted of the actual ceremony. Her wedding was beautiful and she did a great job on her PJ/TR. Her PJ/TR is at this link...http://www.disboards.com/showthread.php?t=1670779

Lisa is wonderful and has helped me ALOT along the way...You also can always be in contact with Shanda (the wedding coordinator). Lisa and I do all our planning via email/phone...

I also second checking out Lisa's PJ and Trip Report...her wedding video is great

Lisa is also very craftly/talented and I stole some of her ideas...well borrowed them

I'm not back yet. Currently posting from my phone laying in bed at our resort....

Wedding itself was lovely. Tom we were not impressed with either. He got our names wrong on our welcome invite letter which equaled a very nervous bride crying at guest services over a name (but in my head if he couldnt get our names right everything was going to be wrong). He also had the wrong date on our wedding certificate.

Does anyone know if you purchase the CD with the wedding photography package, if that is just the wedding photos and you have to purchase an additional CD if you want the photos that were taken all throughout your cruise or if that includes all photos throughout the cruise including the wedding?

It includes just the wedding photos. We didn't have time for many cruise photos otherwise. We just got our free 8x10 and called it good.

PS you can always add on a travel agent, even after you book BUT it was so much easier with Lisa and she was able to book me further out then if I tried to do it myself

Shannon1984's Mom here...Tom left the flowers and rings sitting on the bar. He handed the ring bearer the rings right before he needed them. I think Shannon got the flowers right after the ceremony. Wish one of us would have noticed but that was Tom's job, not ours. It was our job to try to not be nervous and enjoy the wedding.

I would also like to know how a cake and cake topper totally disappear? Tom said he would have another cake made for them to make up for it and it never happened. After numerous complaints they finally gave them a new cake topper. I really wanted another piece of that cake too as it was one of the few good desserts on board.

Anyway, the wedding was just beautiful! So glad that Shannon and Mike got married on DCL! We all had a blast. The kids had so much fun and were so happy to be in the wedding. The outside location was very nice with Atlantis in the background. We all have lots of great memories and photos.

Just want to make myself clear...the flowers and rings were sitting on the bar so the photographer could take pictures. Tom simply didn't hand the flowers to Shannon before she began her walk down the isle. None of us noticed. In a way we feel it was almost comical because that is something that all of us would forget. We are a bunch of scatterbrains when it comes to planning. But, and this is a big BUT, that is why the wedding planner is there! I agree with you. This was totally unacceptable. I have advised Shannon to email DCL.

Me again. lol I think the missing cake bothers me more than the other things. How do you lose a cake and topper? At least the flowers and rings were right there. We really don't know if that was Tom's fault or the restaurant's fault. However, Tom promised another cake to make up for it and didn't follow through. That is what disturbs me so I will blame him.

Just had a thought...I wonder if the cake ended up in Palo as most couples go there for dinner after the ceremony? Shannon and Mike chose to eat dinner with their guests in our normal restaurant rotation. Again, not our job to track down the cake and topper. You would think that Tom would know to check with Palo. Again, his job, not ours.
