Good News DISBrides -
Shanda has gotten the official approval for a deck wedding on board the Dream. The DFTW website and official publications should be updated this week to reflect the progressive addition of venues.

Location: outside Palo called the Meridian Deck (12 aft)
Time: 12:30 on Nassau Day (which was Day 2 on our 4 night cruise)
Size Capacity: 20 people

I was the first bride to have this location (since I wrote a letter stating I organized my wedding around a deck wedding as the other two ships offer) and I was 100% pleased with the location. The shade was an added bonus in my mind, as it was 85 degrees that day (HOT by a Northerners standards)
As I understand it, Outlook will still be an option for the 4:30 and 5:30 slots, as well as Castaway Cay.

I attached a link of 50 pictures - see below- so you could get a flavor of what the deck wedding might look like as well as some of the terrific shots their photographers took. (the last 5 were non professional, including the private civil ceremony) I cannot say sing their praises enough. We had an amazing experience, where any bump in the road was taken care of immediately. Again, for other specific details, see my previous post and feel free to PM me w/ any question. The only base I didn't cover was Amanda, an American from Chicago, who did my hair. They do not have an on board makeup artist, however my combo of Lancome/MAC held up in the heat for over 9 hours.
Enjoy the experience and don't fret over slow responses, you will be amazed how beautifully it comes together.

Enjoy - PghBrideGirl

Your wedding looks wonderful and I LOVE your pics...:yay:
I am a bit nervous there is no make up artist! That means I am really going to have to figure out what I am doing :)

Thanks again for sharing all your great pics!

is anyone considering doing the additional Floral for bridesmaids and parents? the prices are kind of high.. :confused3

Way to pricey for us!!! I am either ordering silk from a local florist or going to attempt to make them myself! Besides I am having a at home reception and silk can be reused ;)

Thanks for sharing your pics and the outdoor location! It looks like it won't work for us either...over 20 :(. I am so happy to see the improvements being made!

Your cake looks beautiful and your pictures are gorgeous! I'm so happy to see the improvements that are being made to the overall experience of a DCL wedding.

I have a general question about the civil ceremony: Do you get a choice as to where this ceremony takes place? We will be aboard the Disney Dream for our Castaway Cay wedding and I've seen the civil ceremony take place in quite a few different places on the different ships and would like to know if you have a choice as to where we can perform this ceremony. I would also like to know if I would be able to "invite" anyone of our Guests to witness the civil ceremony on embarkation day. Any information about the civil ceremony would be greatly appreciated :D

Thanks! We were not given a choice for the Civil Ceremony, it was called the Wonder Conference Center on the 5th? floor. We were also allowed 2 witnesses from our party. As a word of caution, embarkation day was chaotic and our cell phones didn't work (not much success for the wave phones either, but I think that was just our room) so one witness missed it, and the other showed up late, drenched with her swimsuit cover up saying "the aquaduck is amazing"
So if your witnesses are very important to you, do a better job of communicating the logistics than I did. :)

Princess Tink - don't get too consumed w/ your makeup :) One trip to the MAC counter and I was set - I'm hardly a glamazon when it comes to those things. Also I noticed in this months BRIDES magazine on the cover it talks about 'no makeup artist, no problem'

Thanks for the information. I love the flowers, they are the same colors I chose.

For the civil ceremony - what time was it? And if more than 2 witnesses wanted to be there could they?

Congratulations!
What a Beautiful Day you had, everything was perfect.
I love the blue dresses the girls wore, the color is so perfect for a cruise wedding.

Figment -
The civil ceremony was 2pm on embarkation day (still in port so the notary could leave) Shanda told me only 2 people could serve as witnesses, but I'm sure it would be negotiable if you had some extenuating circumstance.
Those bright colored flowers photographed beautifully! The dresses turned out to be a great surprise as well. We ordered them w/o knowing exactly what color blue they'd turn out to be (the sample dress was orange!)

Congratulations!
Unfortunately I can't see your photos.:sad2: I think it's probably because I'm outside of the US. I can see the one on the cover and you look beautiful!
I realise you can't post all the pics here, but when you have a chance is there any way you could post just 1 of the outside space? I would love to see it.:goodvibes
Thanks.

pghbridegirl - Congratulations on your wedding! Thank you for sharing your pictures; they are fantastic. Seeing them only makes me more excited about my wedding.

Loved your photos! Your wedding was beautiful as were you! Makes me want to do this all over again, lol.

Has anyone tried the temptu airpod system? I just bought one and was planning to take it along to do my makeup. I can do my makeup well enough just wondering if anyone had any experience with the wear and how it came out in pictures.

Wow - what beautiful photos from the wedding on deck on the dream. just beautiful! congratulations and thank you for sharing!

I know I say it again and again, this wedding was truly perfect for our families and I know it will only get better w/ time for you all.
