Suzanne they look great! I love that you are barefoot...and flip flops! :thumbsup2 Your hair looks beautiful.

Was that the tropical bouquet? I thought it was just the right amount of color. Can't wait to hear about the reception and how everything went. It's making me excited for my CC ceremony.

Enjoy the honeymoon!

Thanks! I found flip flops online that said "Just Married" when you walked in the sand and put them on after the ceremony.

Yes we had the tropical bouquet. It was beautiful!

Well, Lisa (Goldeelox9) has asked me to come over and give some details of our wedding.

We were on the Magic 4/18/09 sailing. We had a Deck 7 wedding(Vow renewal) on 4/23/09.

April 17, 2009 The limo arrived at 4am to take us over to the airport.
We arrived at MCO by 10am and off to Cocoa Beach for the night!
A few pics of the family at the hotel and around town...

At about 9:45am the girls, my aunt and I were the first ones through to the terminal While Tim, his dad and my dad waited with the luggage...I wanted an upgrade really bad!!!

Around 10:15 we checked in and asked about upgrades, we were told that they had quite a few We recieved a boarding card #2...Tim went over to the upgrade line to wait while I finished checking in. We found out a cat 9 was about $400 more and a balcony was $861 more...I said lets go for the balcony...The women told us to hold on and spoke with her supervisor and upgraded us to a cat 4 family suite for the price of a balcony room....We were so thankful to her!!! We now had a room on deck 8 with a balcony....Considering we booked a cat 12 gty, I think we were doing great!

After finishing up with the upgrade we went over to take our pictures for homeland security...It's something new to us, but it was fast and simple. We then went over to the couches and waited for the characters for pics!

After boarding Tim and I headed to deck 3 to add my aunt to our Palo brunch ressie while the kids, my aunt and the grandpas went to deck 9 for food and swimming!

At 1:30 we went to check out our rooms!
We walked in to a nice fruit basket and a note from Disney Cruise Line....

That night the ship was rocking really bad, and I wasnt feeling well, so I skipped dinner, but then went down about halfway through to see how everyone else was doing...We had 10 at our table, Tim, myself, the 3 girls, my aunt, my dad, Tim's dad, and our friends the newlyweds from England Jonathan and Kirsty.
I have some pictures from Disney that we purchased that I have to scan in...They will be here soon!

They had a deal on board for the Premear of Earth all your pre-printed pics from the cruise for $229...of course this didnt include wedding pics from the ceremony, but thats ok...We took over 200 pics...It was a great deal for us!
More to come soon!

where did you get the flip flops? I would love some. We are planning on flip flops for our ceremony. I found some white Disney ones at DL, but they were $34.

Suzanne,

My fiance and I were on your sailing and we saw you and your hubby just after your ceremony. Everything was beautiful and the two of you looked very happy. In fact we were walking toward the wedding spot on Castaway Cay to check it out for a vow renewal next year. Congratulations! :bride:

That was one of my favorite parts of the day! Walking thru the halls to get to the ceremony..lots of "ohh" and "Awww" and the walking around the ship and in the clubs after the ceremony...it was so great!!

Here are some more...OOOOHHHHH AAAAAHHHHHHH

It really does make the day so much more magical!!! I personally loved the thought that we were a "young" bride and groom!!! (Having married him when I was 21 the first time, I was rather young!!)

has anyone not bought a photography package? are you allowed to do that with a cruise wedding? I'm not really interested in any prints, i might be interested in a CD but i tend to be very critical of photography as i'm a photographer myself. My sister is also a photographer and I would probably have her take photos. thanks!

Hi! When I asked Brie about it, she said DCL would not assign a photographer to your wedding if you do not commit to buying the package. And you have to buy a package to get the disc, as far as i understand it.

So....if you are sure you don't want any pictures at all.....yes...you can skip the package. But if you decide to late....there may not be a photographer available. She told me i had to make a decision about 1 month prior to sailing to ensure there would be a photographer available.

HTH!

Don't get the photographer! They were not great and if you trust your sister let her do it. You can not buy just a disk, I tried and tried and tried. I could net get them to let me do it...But it's been a year maybe they took the advise of my stern letter to DCL after my wedding and now offer it. LOL

Jennifr I would see if Tory will do yours....she is way better then any photographer the ship had to offer!

Yea!!! I have officially turned in my Planning Kit!!!:banana::banana:

Cake- check:thumbsup2
Songs- FINALLY- check:thumbsup2

I even ordered the kids' clothes today. Our DD 12 will be my maid of honor and our DS 9 will be the best man. I liked the blue color, but both kids liked this kiwi color better. I think it will look great with the tropical bouquet.

Ordering online is easy for the kids' part. Hopefully, DD won't outgrow the dress in the next 2 months. She is 12 and just beginning her growth spurt!! Her feet in the last 2 months have gone from being smaller than mine, to larger... already!

Christine

Since I'm ordering online for my dress, I decided to go ahead and order 2. That way I can compare! It's worth paying the restocking fee to be able to compare once I get them. I'm a little nervous, it's so hard to know even with measuring carefully if they will fit. I tried to order a little on the bigger side. I am certainly hoping to take off 15 pounds in the next 2 months- but just incase I don't...:rolleyes1

Here are the two I have ordered:
maolidress.jpg

This one is my favorite, it's silk. I just am a little worried it won't accomodate my curves! It might need some hemming since I am short.

This one is a style I know will be flattering. Both have matching shirts for DH, that I won't order till I decide for sure.

Christine

yay for sending in your planning kit Christine! Love the outfits for the kids! Too cute! ANd i vote for dress #1 for you!

We got back last night...it was absolutly perfect, in every way...I'll post pics as soon as I get a chance...

Jen, you posted earlier about your daughter not being able to get her hair done at the salon...the salon does take children, as long as they are just in the salon...they actually have mother/daughter mani/pedi packages...they did a great job on my dd's hair...

Our photographer was Stephanie, she was excellent...we are really pleased with all our portraits...the hardest part was choosing which ones to add to our package...

If anyone has any questions, please let me know!!!

Tanya

Tanya Welcome back!! I can't 'wait to see pics!! And YAY for getting your DD into the Salon!! That takes a HUGE weight off my shoulders.....dd's hair is just soooo beyond my capabilities....her braid is out before we even make it to school! :lmao: Glad you got a good photographer.

Congratulations!!!

I can't remember, were you on the Wonder or the Magic? I'm so glad to hear that you had a wonderful photographer. Yea for great pictures!! And I am excited to hear your DD could get her hair done. I asked Brie about that specifically, and was told no exceptions, no children. Should I just try again on my own with my wedding coordinator once I am onboard?

Can't wait to see your pictures!
Christine
