I have had a few people PM me for the details on the script...Since it is lost somewhere back, I will post again:
VOW RENEWAL CEREMONY

INTRODUCTION

________ and_________, welcome to the re-affirmation ceremony of your marriage.

On this beautiful occasion, I commend you both. In this day and age, it has becoming increasingly rare to see couples sustain a commitment to each other. By contrast, you are taking this moment at this place to express to the world your continued and growing love for each other.

CEREMONY

So, we have gathered here (in the presence of family and friends) to re-affirm your marriage vows and the love you have for each other.

You entered into this union advisedly and reverently. The years have drawn you closer, not only as husband and wife, but also as the very best of friends.

VOWS
(Turn to face each other and join both hands)

(Husband)
I _______________ re-affirm that you ________________ are my wife and my best friend. I promise to continue my love for you, to cherish you, to honor you, and to keep you. In good times and in bad, in sickness and in health, whatever the future may bring, I shall continue to be true to you all the days of my life.

(Wife)
I _______________ re-affirm that you ________________ are my husband and my best friend. I promise to continue my love for you, to cherish you, to honor you, and to keep you. In good times and in bad, in sickness and in health, whatever the future may bring. I shall continue to be true to you all the days of my life.

At this time, is there anything you would like to say to personally express your love for one another?

RINGS

When you first stood side-by-side for your marriage celebration, you presented to each other a ring. The rings became symbols of your bond and devotion and ever-lasting love.

Today we re-affirm the bond of love by again giving and receiving these rings.

(Husband)
____________________ will you place this ring on the proper finger of your wife and repeat after me…
With this ring, I re-affirm my love and marriage to you, and shall continue to share with you all my life has to offer today, tomorrow and forever.

(Wife)
____________________ will you place this ring on the proper finger of your husband and repeat after me…

With this ring, I re-affirm my love and marriage to you, and shall continue to share with you all my life has to offer today, tomorrow and forever.

CONCLUSION

For as much as you have re-affirmed your wedding vows and endless love for each other, I re-affirm that you are husband and wife.

_________________ , you may now re-affirm your love by kissing your beautiful wife.

Let those present and those who may be told know that standing here before me are
Mr. and Mrs. __________________________.

…And they continued to live happily ever after!

Hello Ladies,

I wanted to ask you what you have planned or what type of trans you used to get to and from the Port? I am thinking of cost, convenience and also that it is your official ride to your wedding. Also, I would prefer to try to get to the port a little early to avoid the crowds at check in. Any feedback would be appreciated.

We have always stayed in a hotel in Port Canaveral and taken the hotel shuttle..I know some friends use Florida Tours

We're planning on flying in on Thursday, and staying at the Doubletree in Cocoa Beach. It's beachfront and we can relax Thursday/Friday. My inlaws will be driving in so we can use their car on Friday for any last minute shopping we need to do, or errands. I know I'll need a day to get everything "just right" and be sure I HAVE everything with me!

We plan to take the hotel shuttle ($4 pp) to the Port right away on Saturday morning! My inlaws can leave their car at the hotel, parking is included. Better deal than $15/day at the Port! We'll rent a car upon our return, since we'll be heading to WDW for our first DVC stay. Although I don't think the hotel shuttle is exactly romantic... we will be lugging along a bunch of luggage and our two kiddos, whom I am certain will be arguing and irritating the heck out of me at that moment!

I am making embarkation t-shirts for our guests. I got name tags made from Tom's Name Tag thread on the cruise board, and have "bride", "groom", etc under each person's name. The guests who are not part of the wedding will have theirs just say "First Disney Cruise" under their name. I think they will look really cute on royal blue t-shirts, and will make a great embarkation photo! We thought about having something that said "The ____ Wedding" but decided not everyone would really want to wear that. The DCL name tags look great, I had Tom make them for us last cruise and we used them as door magnets. I do have a CC Vow Renewal graphic I am going to use for t-shirts for DH and I, as well as a door magnet for us.

Betsy thanks for the VR script! I am printing it out so I have it in my folder of stuff. :thumbsup2 Yea! I hope I can have him leave out the "do you have anything to add" part- because we won't!! LOL!! Even if I did want to write my own vows- I am sure I would either forget what to say, or would lose the paper it's on...I think I'll just smile, and cry instead!

Question! But I don't know if anyone is going to be able to answer it.....

After the ceremony on Deck 7, we have the cake cuttting, champagne, and a few dances. no big deal. Ok....well where are my guests supposed to eat their cake and drink their champagne? Are there tables put up? Are they supposed to hold their cake in their lap while sitting in the chairs used for the ceremony? Where will they put their glasses?

Hmmm..since our cake was in Palo, I don't know..they had tables set up and we did have chairs..but we just didn't have the cake..
You can see the glasses are laying on the table

Question related to cake/champagne...does Disney provide the toasting glasses for the Bride and Groom or do we bring our own...

Disney Provided ours....I wasn't dragging glasses on a plane, to a hotel, to the boat, then to the reception!

If those are the toasting glasses then I may just use those, as they look way cooler than any of the ones I've looked at. I don't mind bringing my own, already bringing my own cake server, just haven't found a set I like yet. Wonder if they would let me buy those ones in the pic?

Those are the brunch mimosa flutes from Palo..We didn't do the toast outside..I think they were prepared in case we wanted to..they ended up bringing the Fairy Tale Cuvee upstairs to Palo and they gave us another flute seen here to the left of the place card..

I am just joining this thread and I just wanted to introduce myself...

I am not "technically" a DCL bride....they were full for our dates. What I find strange is that they do the same amount of ceremonies on a 7 day sailing as a 3 day. :confused3

We ended up still booking the sailing we wanted and had to outsource our ceremony with a company on St. Thomas.

We sail on the 9/12 Tortola intinerary on the Magic. We get married on 9/16 in St. Thomas.

Looking forward to getting to know everyone.:goodvibes

Welcome disneymagicgirl!!

Caution mini rant on it's way!!

I was afraid that too many people would book weddings for my cruise also. I was able to book the cruise with my travel agent 14 months out but I couldn't book my wedding until 12 months out so like many others I was on pins and needles for two months. I don't understand this policy because since we are a wedding party we can book certain things (Palo's, excursions, spa treatments, etc) ahead of time why can't we book the wedding when we book for the cruise. Oh well I just think it is a little unnecessary stress:confused3.

Sorry your cruise was full. How is planning going for you since you had to outsource it?

Here is the wine flutes & knife set I want to bid on, but I'm worried about carrying it on the plane/ having it in the suitcases for a week.

the planning was very easy. i found a company that would do the simple ceremony we were hoping for. It is called Paradise Bridal Consultants. I googled them for reviews. They had my date available. THat's it! I sent them an email with my color preferences and they are taking care of everything for me. I may decide to add a cake/champagne toast, or maybe not.

Does anyone know a good place to eat lunch in st. thomas after the ceremony?

I had a friend that got married in St Thomas in 1993..It was a whole package too..At the time I thought it was so odd for just the two of them to go and have this wedding alone...little did I know, 15 years later, I would do almost the same thing! haha
