did you order off the regular menu? I checked it out yesterday and didn't really seem very impressed. nothing really looked appetizing.

yes..it was the regular menu

The first cruise DH and I went and I wanted to try the lamb shank, but I had only had lamb once a year before..I wasn't sure if I would like it..so the waiter brought me a shank and a fillet..It was AMAZING!! So good, that the night of our reception, they did it again for me

Their fillet is very, very good. We also had the calamari which is very crispy..
let me go look at the menu and see..what do you like?? I have been to Palo about 5 times and always had a great meal

oh - and your servers don't come to Palo. Palo servers "graduate" to work there. Marco (the manager during our cruise) started as a server in the dining room, then was a server in Palo on the Magic in 2005..he is now one of the managers for food (he was covering for the Wonder Palo Manager who was on vacation and was about to fly west to manager the Magic Palo back from Ca

well i'm allergic to tomatoes so most "good" restuarnts are out because they actually use tomoatoes in italian food. :rotfl: I can go to Olive Garden and be able to pick out most tomatoes.

I don't like seafood, basically just Chicken and Fish. We just tried Calamari for the 1st time this weekend and it was ok. nothing big.

this isn't tomato-y italian..it is more northern

The fish was really good..scallops were yummy!!

You want all the newbies to see your pictures don't you Betsy! :rotfl:

oh yeah, got one more....are the guests escorted to the ceremony site on CC? Or do they just make it there themselves??

Sorry Jennifer, I just saw this. The Guests are all told to meet in the Loby and then once they are ALL THERE>>>EVERYONE OF THEM (they will make you wait up in yout room until they are all gone so make sure your people are on time cause boy was that a long wait. Also make sure everyone has thier Key to the World Cards) they will escort them to a private tram and drive them over near the site, then they get off and have to walk some, not far to the site. The private tram takes them back to, you of course get the JUST MARRIED cart. Also make sure they get some pictures without the cart in it, while you are walking "down the Aisle". Ugh, picture pet peeves of mine are endless!

April....we didn't use the "room" because the time frame just didn't work for us, so Florencia (on the ship) made certain that we would have the table we needed for the number of people we had. I had already told Cathy what it was that I wanted to do, and somehow she let the ship know that the Palo dinner would not be for just the 2 of us.

We had Palo waiters, who were fabulous, and kept us all happy.

We ordered from the regular menu, however, they brought over all sorts of "dishes" that the chef prepared for us. Most of the men got 2 entries...it was Lobster night on the ship so most of them got that plus another meat. We all ordered the soufle for dessert, and they brought us out an assortment of treats that we all tried, and we wrapped the rest for our room.

Just make certain that you convey to Cathy your needs, write them down, and on the 1st night of the cruise when you meet with the coordinator, hand them the list.

It will all work.

And don't worry so much about Cathy not emailing you back, she really didn't communicate to me until about 5 months ahead. I know it is hard, because we obsess about how we want everything, but they really are experts at what they do, and know the timeline that they need. (sounds like I should work for them...hee hee)

Ok., just had to tell you all...I am wearing the gown again; no it won't be in Disney for the group picture that I said we should all do...:rotfl:

I have been named Mrs. Warwick, and will be competing for Mrs. RI America and in the gown competition I am going to wear my vow renewal gown. I think the significance of the gown will really help.

Just thought that I would share.

Cheryl

Wow...Your thread was a big help! We have decided (yesterday) to get married on board April 18...I have called Disney Weddings, and they do have room for a wedding on board...Now to just wait for the planner to call me back!

I see Lisa already answered this one. Here's a shot of us on the trams:

I went with our guests. There were 8 of us, plus the photographer, so we had 2 trams. My daughter and my wife came later on their own tram.

My wife has a very severe allergy, and the dining teams worked really well with her. My suggestion is to check in with Palo at least a day ahead of time and speak to the manager. Explain your allergy and see if you can choose your food then. That way, if there is something that you'd really love love but can't eat, they can make it up for you without the tomatoes.

We didn't do this at Palo because she knew what we were going to eat and that it was safe, but in the main dining room, she was given the following nights menu every night and ordered ahead. There were a few meals that they had to make special, but this way she was able to eat what she wanted. The only downside was trying to decide the night before what you feel like eating the following night.

Thank you for your well wishes on the upcoming pagent...it is funny to say that, because I am the least likely beauty queen there could be...now I just need to find a tiara to wear for my portrait...city winners don't get a tiara. I wish I had bought one for my vow renewal now, then I would be complete. ;)

This time last year, I was getting ready to order my dress and I was 180lbs!! 26lbs heavier than I am today!!
